| BENDER Customs SW2 chassis.........
The SW2 chassis is designed to use TLT axles, but can be built up with virtually any axles available. The SW2 utilizes alot of the stock TLT hardware too. For example, the stock body mounts, chassis standoffs, suspension link brackets for the axles and stock 3mm hardware. The stock lower suspension links can be used as upper links, with my servo mounts and Maxx 105mm tierods as lowers. This will give you a 12 1/2" wheelbase, with about 3" of chassis clearance. This chassis is designed to give the end user alot of options, with numerous upper shock mounting points. The upper links can be run in a couple different ways too, either flat or parallel to the lowers. It can be set-up with a 50/50 or 60/40 link configuration. The chassis is also capable of running different wheelbases anywhere from 11" up to 15" on shaft driven builds, with custom links. It's designed to use a Stampede tranny mounted low in the chassis to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. If Clods are your thing, the SW2 chassis can run up to an 18" wheelbase. This chassis was the only chassis to make the top 5 finals in both classes of the 2006 Nationals. Click here for SW2 Build-up thread (12 1/2" wheelbase with TLT axles) 1st place in the 2.2 Class at the 2006 Nationals. Click here for SW2 Build-up thread (14" wheelbase with TXT axles) Click here for SW2 Build-up thread (18" wheelbase with Clod axles) 3rd place in the Super Class at the 2006 Nationals. Click here to see video of SW2 on the rocks, TLT and Clod. SW2 will be offered in 2 different packages: 1. Chassis plates and Delrin tranny skid, $65 shipped in the U.S. 2. Chassis plates, Delrin tranny skid and servo/upperlinks mounts, $95 shipped in the U.S. The servo mounts are designed around Hitec's 645mg servo. Price does include the four 3mm screws that tie the Delrin skid plate to the chassis, as well as 4 flatwashers and two 6-32 screws to mount the Pede tranny. I will also sell the link mounts seperately, $33 a pair shipped in the U.S. Check out the website, you can order them through there as well..............www.bendercustoms.com These are also available in black anodize. Black Anodized SW2.......... Thanks!! On to the pics...... Last edited by BENDER; 10-20-2006 at 10:58 AM. |

Wow!!! looks great I might have to break down and get a second tlt. Oh and by the way, how do you mount the tranny in there I don't see any screws that look like they lead to it and do I see some pro-line 24 series TC rims with spinners? |

The rims are 24 series TC rims, no spinners, with Gmade wideners from www.thecrawlerstore.com The tranny is held in place with two long 6-32 screws, they thread right into the suspension pivot points on the Pede tranny. | |

If I wasnt building a 1/6th scale rig, I would go with one of these chassis. It looks P.I.M.P. Bender.

Holy Shizzle! That's a Nice looking chassis you got there! I love it! Not that it doesn't look like it would Crawl all over the competition, but I want one so it can sit on the Shelf looking pretty. That's a "collectible" in my book. Sign me up for one, for sure! If I order one off your site this week, do you think it will come in the mail by X-mas? Oh yeah...... What's SW2 stand for? I feel like such a Noob........ and how much of the chassis was fabricated by you? Just curious, it's sounds like your doing it all........ if so...... amazing, truly amazing work Bender |

If you order one, it'll definitely be in your hands before X-mas. SW2 is just an abbreviation for Shaggin' Wagon Stage 2, alot easier to type. I designed the chassis myself and I do all the machine work myself too. Quote:

Just so everyone knows, these are in the manufacturing process already. This is 1/2 of the chassis plates I have available now, the other 1/2 just need to be tumbled and burnished. I'll be making the Delrin skid plates and servo/upper link mounts this week. Chassis' will be shipping by the end of the week. |
