Isn't that amazing? I envy those who live in areas with air clean enough to allow one to see even a tease of the Milky Way...

We have some areas around my neck of the woods where you can see alot, but not that much, that is insane!

Very amazing
Go up into the mountains, above the smog and you can probably see cool stuff too

We live at the base of a 7000' mountain and have drove up to the summit and set my telescope up and have seen some amazing stuff in the night sky

Thats just one of the reasons I love the fact that I got the hell out of the city. Unless there is cloud cover, I get a damn good view of the stars.

I doubt that's from a camera. It's probably a telescope photo. None the less, its amazing.

you need to click the gif. it explains the picture, that picture is a small spot in the sky where no stars could be seen, and in that hubble picture is 10,000 galaxies, and each galaxy has up to one trillion stars.
