This isn't billybob's 4 user forum. Supporting the PM's, images, links, information and letting you search takes huge amounts of processing and bandwidth. Be they hosting their own servers, then they need to buy servers and some sort of extremely high end service to allow so many users to simultaneous access the features.

I am in IT and I shutter to think of the daily bandwidth required to run such a forum.

I am not talking about the overhead. I am talking about comps, videos, drawings, whatever extra stuff is that he puts on outside of the site........ The fact that he has a bunch of overhead is all part of the game. People who want the extra bandwidth, pay for it. He has an alotted amount that you can have for free, and that is sufficient for alot of people.

I am sure they have it figured out to where the people who aren't paying members, are not much of a cost to him. I don't see someone letting the site go into the ground because of letting too many members join for free.

For what? Don't have an option to join a site for free if you want money.. I haven't paid for your site either. Why should I? I get even more options that I don't need or want? Phonebooks aren't free to make either. Do you give them money for giving you a free phonebook?

Besides. How many people said they would leave your site if you made it a paying members only site? Quite a few, and lots of them have been members since the beginning.

I've saved well over $20 a year from the great info on this site and have no problem donating the star money to keep the site open and free. This is what I was thinking as I read the first post and why I buy the star.

The list goes on and on. This isn't a push to get Jason some cash in his pocket. I just see hundreds and hundreds of users that use this site daily and don't support it. $20 people. Some of you spend that on breakfast-lunch and dinner daily.
I'd go postal if something happened to RCC. Seriously. I talk to some of these assholes everyday, more than my family, my Brother,Mother and Uncle "Gator". Just saying....think about it next time you log in.
