Default Brady campaign offers to help gun owners!

Just saw that the Brady campaign has a toll free number you can call to be automatically contacted with a legislator that voted down the proposed universal background checks.

You call, get a recorded message from the Brady folks who tell you what to say and then you are automatically connected to a legislator's office.

I called (1-855-506-7565) and when I was connected I left a message thanking the the legislator for supporting Second Amendment rights.

So nice to spend Brady's dime to exercise my free speech rights and participate in the American system.

I encourage you to call and thank a legislator for supporting the Second Amendment!

Feel free to share!

I think it's time to go SBR!

I'll have to fill out a form 1 and send Uncle Obongo another check, but what are you going to do?
Got one of those myself

I'm starting a new build here.
Vltor forged MUR
Spikes LPK with nickel boron Battle trigger and JP enhanced 3.5# springs.
Noveske take down pins
Ergo Ambi grip
Bravo Company Ambi charger
And a Mag Tactical magnesium lower.
These Mag lowers don't get the best press but could be bought for dirt cheap right now.
Building this for distance.
Soon to have a Bravo Company KMR, Criterion Hybrid HBar, Scope, Atlas Bipod, etc....
These are just as fun building as RCs.

I want a gauss gun so I can just recharge it instead of having to buy ammo. I haven't been shooting in way too long...spending all my dough on RC crap instead of gun crap.

Here's the RedCat of carbines: the HP 995.

Did all the paint and dip work myself. M2D Camo on the stock Brownells Alumahyde II "Coyote" on the metal.
I went for maximum cowbell

This is the AR that I built for my girlfriend. I used a Spikes Tactical 18", .223 Wylde, fluted barrel. I built one like it for myself, obviously mine isn't purple, but she liked it so much that I had to build one for her! I like the Wylde bore because it doesn't matter what we shoot through it, either .223 or 5.56. I've been very happy with both of them! They'll shoot a 2" group of 5 shots at 100 yards!

The last one was my Christmas present from her. It's an 1848 Colt Dragoon black powder revolver. What a fun pistol to shoot! Messy as hell, but fun to shoot!

May I suggest, if you are building a long distance AR you need the best possible trigger you can buy.

Check out Geissele Automatics, they have been responsible for more national match/CMP/NRA wins than probably any other trigger manufacturer.

I run Geissele SSAs in my other rigs. I love them for bursting shots but if I'm shooting for accuracy sometimes I keep pressure on the trigger after a shot. The SSA will pop off another round if you're not conscience about it.
I'll lap in my Battle trigger, I like them with the JP springs.
Some where down the line it will get a Geisslele though, I just can't help myself.

Edit, I run the Geissles with the stock springs too.
A little tougher pull but you don't notice it because of the quick break.

Give the two stage trigger a try, there's enough of a reset that you won't inadvertently double tap a P-dog.

I have double tapped several times... I think I'm over it now though after getting stared down by a couple of range officers...

Here is my new house gun. Basically a SBR without the tax stamp. 16" Tavor. Aimpoint H1 for the sight. I am loving it more and more each time I take it out. My first bullpup but it's very easy to get used to. I can already do reloads faster than with an AR, and I'd been shooting them for 12 years.

Also just finished the final pieces to my dream AR. Started out as a Colt 6920 years ago. Just slapped on a new BCM 16" mid length upper with a super light weight handguard. The scope I've had for years. The iron sights are Magpul mbus pros and they are damn near perfect, they are the first buis I've ever actually liked. The lower has a Geissele SSA-E trigger that I added about a year ago. This is such a sweet shooting rifle. It can handle stuff out to around 500 yards if need be.. Mostly coyotes.

Lots of guns, very few knives. Anyone can own a gun and pull a trigger but owning a knife and knowing how to care for it and use it effectively...that's skill. It's a much more utilitarian tool and certainly more personal. Here is my latest addition to a small but entirely useful arsenal...OPINEL No. 8, made in France for over a hundred years. Carbon steel blade, Beachwood handle. I REALLY like this knife.

Anyone can own a knife and cut stuff with it. Knowing how to care for a gun and use it effectively, that's skill... ;) This is the internet so I cant tell if you were serious with your opening words but if so, why come in here and say that? I'm sure we all appreciate a nice knife as well as a fine firearm, I know I do.. I just personally don't care to own fancy and/or expensive knives.. I use and abuse my daily carry knife.. The blade gets nicked and dull and they sometimes inevitably get lost.
