I thought about you and Badger coming up, but of course the cell service sucks up there. I did a little looking around and 98% of the guys that come to scale comps aren't pro comp guys. Unfortunately I had to make a decision.....have it in May or June and get rained on, have it in September and have perfect weather, or not do it at all. The parks dept wouldn't let us do it in July or August due to heavy park use.

Tim, I'll get working on the packages and such for the event. I contacted Freq-E-tag for the art work and do whatever I can do to help on my half.
Cant wait.
Norm gets to come to Portland!

This event will set the new standard for National level Scale comps!!! And Yes it sucks that we had to put it in the same month as Nats., just what it was to make it happen for this year. Hopefully once we get past the first one we can address that issue.

Be sure that you guys are ready for serious competition as this event will bring out the best

It takes alot of work to plan these things out and Thanks Tim for getting the spot secured, now back to work!

I remember all the years that I lived around the 'Sound that June was always a warmer and drier month than late September. Nothing like waking up to that first day of 38*, sideways blowing rain!

September and October are my favorite months in Oregon. To me, September is the best weather, but I'm fair skinned and like 68 degrees and partly cloudy.

Average temps and rainfall:

June

High 73.5
Low 53.7
Rain 1.7"

Sept

High 75.8
Low 53.2
Rain 1.47"

It's going to be perfect....I just know it .

Hm, now that I just moved back to Idaho, it's only an 8 hour drive for me. Are there spots for a 17' camper? Anywhere to run 1:1 rigs? Or ATV's?

Hey Patrick, you, or any of the CO guys are welcomed to stay in Boise at my place on the drive through.

Limited camping up there. It's a large nature park just outside of town and has few amenities. I'll look around and see if there is a camper friendly area or something close by. No real 1:1 areas or ATV spots that I know of....but I'll ask around about that too.

Sweet...that'll be a long drive. Maybe you can pick up Andy (Excesivefire) in Ohio on your way over .

About $300 to fly there.

21 Hours, 1300 miles to drive.

Where is the hotel? Battleground?

Yes, those are the dates. The only issue with the hotel and TTC location in Canby is that they are about an hour drive apart. People are going to have to decide whether they want to spend Saturday night in Battleground and drive down to Canby Sunday morning or get a room closer to Canby for Saturday night. I plan to stay at the hotel on Thursday and Friday night, and then sleep at my house on Saturday night (it's halfway between Battleground and Canby). The hotel said that they only have 15 or so rooms available for that weekend. They are 2 queen bed rooms for $95 a night (includes taxes) or a single king bed room for $85 a night. The gal there said that there are cots available (or bring an air mattress) so you can fit 3 or 4 people in a room. Pool and hot tub too.....party in Battleground!
