It is with great pleasure that I get to (finally) announce that the northwest clubs will be hosting the next big scale event. I got word from the Clark County parks department that they will be issuing a use permit for Lucia Falls park. I've been working on this for awhile, and it's finally going to happen!

The Northwest Scale Championship

Lucia Falls Park near Battleground Washington.
September 28, 29, 30.
Class 1, 2, 3, KOH, and TTC.

This is going to be THE scale event of 2012. We will be running Class 1 and 3 on Friday the 28th, Class 2 and a KOH type competition on the 29th, but on Sunday will be the biggest and most intense TTC event in history! It will take place on my railroad and will include all the courses you've seen in Toyofast's videos, but I will be revising and adding to all the courses in the months leading up to the event. I will also be allowing 12 competitors in the TTC instead of 10, but it will be a vote-in event like in years past. Ryan Gerrish will also be handling the Concours event during the raffle on Saturday night.

More info to come in the competitions section. Plan your vacation dates now and since there is only 1 hotel close to the comp site, you will want to book rooms in the near future.

Yes, but at the end of the month. The parks dept wouldn't allow us to do it during the busy summer months and anything before June in Oregon is a crap shoot.

Good, it would be fun to get some new people out here to the Northwest. This is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit, and the terrain is phenomenal.

For those of you who are not PNW locals this is THE spot we all travel 2-5 hours to when ORCRC is holding a regular club event. You could easily layout 10 courses and not cross over any duplicate lines. C3 will have robot crawler worthy lines to deal with on these rocks.

Tim's RR TTC event is also a must attend he usually gets 15-20 spectators besides the participants when he holds it. It's a long day but the train adds that extra little bit to the event.

Great news Tim looking forward to coming down to the event.

Yea that sucks I'd love to go there and do coverage for RCC, but we have commitments to cover Nationals 2 weeks before this clear across the country. It sucks that people are going to be forced to have to choose.

Tim, I'll get working on the packages and such for the event. I contacted Freq-E-tag for the art work and do whatever I can do to help on my half.
