Would posting a pic of the steel frames that I'm fabricating for my end tables be ok to post in here?

I need to take some better pics of the end table tops, it's the same 1.25" hard maple that I used for the coffee table. Between the biscuit cutter, glue and 4 thousand bar clamps I'm getting better at laminating pieces of tree together. The satin polyurethane gave me a bit of trouble, I was able to buff most of it out. I finally learned how to say 'good 'nuf' 1.5 " square tubing for the frames, same style of spreader to match the coffee table so it ties in together. My MIG abilities are approaching something that I can call a "skill", so I took the entry level TIG class and now have learned how to melt holes in metal with a new tool ! I wasn't taking the change of destroying these thin wall tubes, so I MIG'd these. I'm enjoying the wood working even though the dust kills my asthma. It's a nice change of pace to not have to pick metal shavings out of my fingers from the machine tools. Last edited by BigSki; 05-08-2017 at 09:43 PM. | |

Got the 2 end tables finished. I probably will re-make one of the frames, it got a nice little warp in one corner from fixing/over heating a burn through hole. I enjoyed learning how to make a very basic table, I hope the really skilled guys keep posting their projects, that will motivate me to try something new. |

I decided to build my wife a built in computer desk for the new house. I am having a quartz counter top installed on it when they do the kitchen counters. I am sure it will look great! This is my first project in over a year and I only made one mistake lol, but was easily fixed |
