FINALLY found an American-brewed Malzbier, or malt beer - this type of drink was/is hugely popular in Germany where I was born and lived much of my childhood.

It's NOT alcoholic malt beer, but more of a caffeine-free energy or vitamin drink, popular in nearly every country in the world except here in the States. In Germany this style drink is sold under brand names like VitaMalz or Kinderbier.

It's very sweet, almost caramel-tasting and I absolutely love the stuff. I could find it in specialty grocers but it was always brewed in another country - this is brewed in Florida - Auburnville, to be exact - by the Florida Brewery, Inc (imaginative name, that!).

Made of water, malted barley, 100% pure cane sugar, carbon dioxide and hops, this particular brand is licensed from Empresas Polar, a Venezuelan company - so who knows how long it will be available considering their current political climate.

It's been a while since I perused the list of brands in Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malta_(soft_drink)

and I see now that some other brands from the US have been added, including one in Austin, TX where I now live... so hopefully my fridge will remain fully stocked!

It seems like I’m constantly needing to print something while printing something else. So I picked up one of these Monoprice MP Mini Pro printers.

This one is pretty much being dedicated to PLA while my other printer can be dedicated to PETG and other fancier filaments.

As my eyes are getting worse I invested in a big monitor and holy cow, what a nice difference!

I'm sure there are many monitors out there that must be better than this one - I know nothing about them - and I don't have a photo that I took of the monitor but it's a 24 inch monitor with the Dell name on it (because who knows who really made it - ha):

I hear you! At the last minute, I decided to go with a 17" laptop instead of a 15" and I am so glad I did. If I need a larger viewing area, I plug into the nearest TV.

Nice pickup.

I have a Schon with Predator 314 shafts that hasn't been out of it's case in about 6 years, sadly.

This isn't the exact one, but it's pretty close:

Thanks. I also have a Falcon "sneaky Pete" that I use as a break cue, but it is a nice cue in it's own right.

I snagged a couple new jackets on clearance sales. A North Face Thermoball (I freaking love this thing) , and a yet to be worn because it showed up today Outdoor Research Foray shell. Both are highly compressible/packable, and should last years I'm hoping.
