The worst part about getting old is aging eyesight. I've developed an astigmatism over the years so red dots don't look like crisp, round dots. I am trying different brands to see if any are better. This Sig Romeo 5 was on sale for $130 and I got a free Palmetto decal. I also got an American Defense Manufacturing QD mount for it, but I don't remember where I bought that. I also bought this XTAR Dragon battery charger and KeepPower 18650 batteries for my Skilhunt headlamp that I have on order. I'm tired of working in the dark - again because of old eyes. |

I like the Romeo. It's a good looking housing, but it's no clearer to my eye than my Holosun. Rumor has it Holosun is the OEM of Sig red dots, but I've never seen that confirmed. I prefer the Holosun to be honest. It has a smaller case so it makes the sight picture look larger. My Holosun model (HS403A) has the battery underneath so that's part of it I'm sure. And there's something else going on that I can't put my finger on that makes the Holosun sight picture look so much larger. It's almost like the glass is slightly larger or something. Had I not gotten the Romeo 5 I would have jumped on this deal for the Holosun 503GU that was posted a day later. Doh! It has all the features of the Sig, plus has two different reticles and is the same price of the Sig. The battery on this version is on the side and easily changeable just like the Sig. There's also a green version of this Holosun on Botach for around $180. https://www.botach.com/holosun-503gu...nv-compatible/ | |

Been wanting to try this for a while now. But, I didn't want to drop a ton of money only to decide it wasn't for me. This shavette (straight razor with disposable blades) got great reviews on Amazon, and it's dirt cheap. I keep a beard during the winter, but I did all my trim work with it tonight. I watched some videos on technique, angle, etc. But, first time ever with a straight. I didn't bleed out, I'm still typing this, and it's an EXCELLENT shave that will only get better with practice. Additionally, I feel like I enjoyed it more. I generally just hate shaving, even with a nice DE/wet shaving setup. But this makes you focus so much on what you're doing, you kind of just have to tune out that bad day at work, etc. Got a little razor burn, but I get that no matter what. I did get two small nicks trimming around my bottom lip at the corners of my mouth (hard to stretch that out flat and taut), but nothing major. For anyone on the fence about trying a straight razor, I highly recommend it! Just after, no blood! Last edited by hpiguy; 03-01-2019 at 07:30 PM. |

My LHS is finally going out of business. I scored AR60 universals, AR60 knuckles, 3 cans of Tamiya poly, a ziploc bag of about 20 random body posts, another bag of various allen wrenches, a 1/24 Revell MK1 Golf, and several 32p spurs. LOL for $50 and some change. Dude is in good spirits though. He said the hell with working for the next year that he’s gonna be a house husband. LOL.

Ordered this stuff a couple weeks ago and it showed up today. It’s picture glue from xxxmain. Supposedly will allow me to lay down printed/cutout images on the backside of the lexan. Hopefully I’ll try this out in the next couple months. Going to play around with some scraps I have around before taking it to a body. |

been looking at and and they put it on sale for spring break so i snagged it. Mobula7 (75mm 1s or 2s) also picked up the FXT Viper 2.0 goggles. (periscope screen setup for glasses wearers!) i love the removable shade for line of sight/peripheral vision. |

Picked up all the stuff I need (I think) to start making my own Kydex holsters. The past couple I've purchased I've been less than thrilled with for the price. Already had the stuff on hand to build my press, which I built over the weekend and have already used to re-mold one of the holsters I bought. |
