gonna be 52 in June, I retired as an ASE Certified Automotive Technician after 31 years...then I went to work at U.S. Steel and more than doubled my income so I got into these Crawlers and Go Fasts to satisfy my need to tinker and work on mechanical things..that was 5 years ago..

| How old are you?
Early 40's here. I have been in and out of RC's since the late 80's. I can remember bringing my RCCA magazines to home-ec class and getting lost building various tamiya's and Kyosho's in my head. I lusted after optima mids but could only convince my mother for a Hornet. I now have 20+ RC's; everything from a lunchbox to a B44.3 to my newest rc, a work in progress TrailFinder 2. Still waiting for that optima mid... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm 58.My first RC was a Tamiya Hornet which I bought when I was about 28 or 29.Dipped in and out of the hobby a few times until I discovered crawlers.Good excuse to explore the great outdoors.

42 here. I remember my 1st RC was a Tyco 2wd baja buggy of some sort. It was all down hill from there. Got out of it while I was in college and got back in soon after my second marriage. The wife and I love our RC stuff.

The other website I frequent prides itself with protecting young-uns bashing monster trucks to and fro - from people like YOU btw- in the uncensored chat rooms (who might be insensitive to conversations about kitty litter). There is a place for that and its great. Anyhoo they constantly complain about how older folk (or their peers) make fun of the hobby and they are painfully self-conscious but I try and reassure them that eventually they wont give a ****. Every adult and kid I have met in this hobby has always been 20- to 100% interested in what I am doing. |

43 Started racing banked carpet oval with my (soon to be at the time) father in-law in '94 been hooked on RC since. I often try and hide this hobby from some of my other "mature" friends as they can be a little narrow sighted and think its childish. I'm lucky to have a handful of somewhat local guys that enjoy the hobby as much as do, we'll often be out on a run at a state park and get the question we've all heard "ohh! how cute! did those come from Walmart??" |

39. I got a little over a week left in my 30's. I'm 39 going on 16, but feeling like I'm 60. I've always been into RCs. As a kid I even had RCs with a wire. I had to get up and follow them around! In the 80's when Tamiya was all the rage I got a Hornet for Christmas at about 8 years old and I've been in and out, but mostly into RCs since. My dad got me into this hobby and he got out of it for a long time. Then a few years ago I bought him an Axial Dingo kit for Christmas and got him back into it. He's hooked and now has a handful of RCs which are mostly crawlers. He's still fairly young (59) and RCs keep us bonded. We are always texting about them, he has me order things online for him, and he goes trailing with me often. |

| Re: How old are you? Get that everytime I am at the park. This will show my age when I tell you how I answer the "Aren't you a little old to be playing with toys?" My reply is usually "I could ask the same thing to your wife"
