Also used to be really into models when I was younger, knocked one out a while ago for nostalgia's sake.... Not the greatest photo background though, lol....

Have been trying to get back into it...

That blackbird had me thinking it was the autobot jetfire from transformers dark of the moon for a sec.

So speaking of autobot jetfire...

Found this in a box. Off to the bay!
Jetfire combined with optimus prime from the armada cartoon.

Probably a good thing there aren't many (any?) female forum members...not sure I'd want to see what "other toys" they'd post up....

That. Right there, is why I could never collect Lego star wars. I would be much more broke than I already am. Possibly divorced too lol

My son has that at-st though!
Ironically he thinks the movies are boring but he loves playing battlefront.

Not gonna lie.... I got a lot of toys. What I do is keep myself from opening a lot of the stuff.... and when it comes time to look at it... I find the price on eBay went up sky high and sell it off LOL! Wife is happy when I sell stuff off.

I buy every Lego set with the intention to build and display.... just doesn't always happen.

Ditto the first half of your post.

But I never buy for the intention of resale value. I get what I like and if my interest trails off I sell it. Hence why all my current ebay sales are star wars prequel and transformers armada based. Yech...
Next on the chopping block are loose prequel Jedi lot.

I will say sometimes my selective purchasing backfires. Now that Hasbro is all in for doing all of the 90s xmen legends, I want. And I skipped on cyclops and rogue. Both of them going for over $50 now. Doh!!!

Literally my next victim on the bay...

Huge lot of loose prequel Jedi and clone troopers.

Most of my Lego Star Wars sets came from a discount store owned by the same people who own where I work. These were mostly store returns, that were about 60% off retail, plus my 10% employee discount. The ones missing pieces (usually minifigs) were discounted even further. I think I paid $75 for the UCS TIE (open box but complete) and like $20 for Kylo Ren's Shuttle (missing minifigs and about $1.50 in pieces, far right) as examples.

I personally just enjoy having them. If I decide to get rid of any of them they'll probably just go to my nephew who is a HUGE Lego geek, lol.

Thanks. Here's a better pic, lol. Started reading his books when I was 8, been a fan for a long time. I've turned the collection into kind of a hobby, I search thrift stores, yard sales, etc for them. Bought a few at Barnes & Noble when the went on clearance for less than $10, but most are 2nd hand...

It's like a rabbit-hole of hobbies with me, lol. The book collection pic reminded me of my guitar/bass playing. Started playing guitar 26 years ago, bass has been about 4 weeks. I don't have the raw talent to be really great at it, but sheer determination has allowed me to get to the level of fairly acceptable.

Anyways, here's some vids:

Wow so that rocksmith is legit? I kept hearing its the most realistic musical instrument game out there. Never tried though cuz I suck even at guitar hero haha

Well you know how I said just last post how I dont buy figures purely based on value? I may have slightly broken that rule, or at least bent it.
I'm not a huge prequel fan but the clone Wars cartoon was pretty good. Found this guy at barnes and noble. Totally forgot he was getting a figure!

Anyway I'm kinda on the fence if I should keep him or not since this is only the 2nd six inch prequel figure I ever bought.
Admit I am guilty of looking him up on eBay while I was in line to buy him.

Oh then I found these at Wal-Mart.
Gopro dolly!!!

Wondering if guitars might be considered "toys". I've got a couple that I could post if so. Looks like some other players here too.
