This sounds sweet, I'm in! The 4th of Oct works for me, and I'm fine with a fee.

I just spoke with the head judge and it is a big thumbs up for Buena Vista. Please keep in mind it is about a 3 1/2 hr drive from Grand Junction, so if we can hold the competition at 11am that will work great.

For the western guys, please contact Steve or Andy at High Desert Raceplace so we can get car pools going. I can take 2-3 people.

Hmmm, from the Springs that is not 3 1/2, but close enough. Plus I like Buena and I can take the wife up Tincup and to Mirror Lake. Gonna be cold that high that time of year though?!

Doc, should be a blast.
Your wife sure was fun to have around at Lutz, sorry if I made her blush.
Just thought it was a good time for the humor button to be pushed, lighten things up for her.:-P

Hope you both had fun. Everyone sure enjoyed your company and talkin with both of you.

Good job BTW at the comp. Hope to see you at BV when this happens.

Thanks man, I really had a great time and I think she did as well. To be honest she has never been into the whole idea of crawling (RC at least) because of how much it cost me. I think Lutz was a great time to show her more than the worries of $. It is about the friendships made and the good time.

Heck, if you made her blush you are in! I used to have that power until she learned I like to have hobbies. Now I just get yelled at when I try, lol.

I was not too disappointed in the day. Being my first time I think I did well. Heck, if I had made it to that last gate (damn 5 seconds, lol) I would have pulled a9 on that run. Course #1 was a tough one too.

Good times all around.

What location are we looking at in Buena Vista? Also, does 11am sound ok to start check in?

If this is going to be a big event, 30-40 drivers, supers and 2.2, we need to start earlier than 11. On average a typical comp takes 8 hours, getting dark fast, etc.....

Location still yet to be determined, I probably will not have any info until after Nationals.

I say hold it on Carnage, that way we can have some live entertainment when we are not driving

There is a spot with some nice camping not all that far from Carnage and IIRC it is national forest. I will dig up some info

Here is a link to a spot.
Just a thought.

Just zoom out to reference where it is.

Zoom out to see where you are on the map.

Meeting place. Somewhere we can have breakfast I hope.:-P
Don't care if it's at the campsite either.

Do you want something to overlay on the metal? What size are you looking for?

Likewise! Looks like you have a great group of people on the west slope.
Should be loads of fun and competition.
