I agree, one day should be enough. Last time we tried to get a weekend trip no one showed.

Default Saturday would be cool

and I am more than willing to get in on this. I'll bring at least one Nylint 1:18 crawler, if not a second person, too. Sounds way cool!

I think a Sat. would be great. I shouldn't have any trouble getting time off, that's well over a month away. I might be able to get a guy with a 1:16 and a 1:6 nylint to go. I'll be there with my clod. Sounds like mike will be there with his TXT. The next real big question is which Sat.

I have a place in the Delta (Lodi) and Folsom lake is still about 2 hours from that. I am now thinking of making a weekend camping trip out of it and whoever wants to come up for just the comp one day that would be cool.

If someone can do some scouting that would be cool. I would like to know the nearest camp grounds to the possible comp location.

What does everyone think about October 8th & 9th weekend? We could have the comp on the 8th (Saturday).

I would be bringing:
1. Ultimate class TLT
2. 1/18 scale Scorpion
3. Comp Clod

Thanks.

8th and 9th would be good. hopefully i'll be able to do some scouting in the next couple weeks. i have a couple places in mind. one place is called rattle snake bar. you enter at a different part of the lake and there is alot of rocks there, actually, more like rock mounds and stuff. so i'll try to get pictures of there and another place. i'm not sure of where you can camp, but rattle snake bar might be one of them.

it looks like the only places you can camp are at beals point, and negro bar.

The 8th and 9th looks good to me too. Let me know about the camping areas too. If those are the only two spots, which spot is the nearest to the wheeling area?

After you scout the area, could you post directions or PM me with the directions from I-5 to the wheeling spot, and maybe the camping area too? I'll check it out on my map and the internet tomorrow.
Thanks!

The problem with having the comp. on the 15th is that it's the same day Calrocs and the Pirates are holding the Roc'n For The Kids Event in Placerville. Everybody I know that 1:1 crawls is going to that, either to comp. or to watch.

All the more reason to have it on the 8th & 9th.
