Yes you can use a standard Tamiya plug for your battery connection. This should work without a problem. The Power Cap is necissary and will need to be put into place before you use the ESC. Quote:

Thread's been quiet for a while now, but I had to add that I'm running an FXR in my new 2.2 Warthog and it freakin rocks! I'll never buy another orange box again, and the one in my Super will be replaced next season with an FXR.

I'm running without the Hot Wire...for me, I don't need to tweak it that infinately, the direct selectable modes are perfect for my rig and driving style. I'm at about 80% drag barke, Lipo cut off, and instant reverse. It was just a tick quirky at first to set up, but if you're not trying to do so at 3:00 AM the day before a meet, you should have no trouble You won't be dissapointed This is my first Tekin product, but most definately not my last. |

wow now that is support, just reading these 9 pages and then reading this as you are willing to consider others oppinions to resolve some minor quarks is great . i was considering getting 2 of the pro versions for the berg with the 55t combos or can i use 1 combo and a extra motor in parallel or is that too much draw for it using a sub c 6 cell 4200 pack.

I think you'd fair well if you offered both a pre-soldered model, and a model with the posts. I've had a lot of my crawling buddies comment on the compact case and performance of the FX-R after seeing/running my Warthog, but some of them are still not comfortable soldering up a speedo. I'll be on the lookout for the beefed up BEC version. My Super needs to lose an orange bird!

I was not paying enough attention when this review came out. I read it, but I did not realize how small this thing is. I got it today in the mail, held it up next to the Mamba Max, and said to myself "you are going to need more of these". Now I see a crawler specific coming. Excellent.

Tekin is without a doubt one of the best in the industry when it comes to customer service and support. On a side note, our factory Reign RC Driver Just Zach won 2.2 Nats with a Tekin FX-R |

I love the ONE that I have and am looking forward to replacing all my other esc's with these in the future. This has got to be the best brushed esc out. |
