Hahahahaha best part of that video was the "deleted scenes" portion. That was classic, what an angry guy!

you have to lower the low voltage alarm,

what firmware are you using?

Change the minimum input voltage in the TX. It's assuming you are running 8 AA's which is ~9.6VDC input.
For a 2S LiPO, I would set minimum to 6.4 volts.

Pretty sure you have to get the hack kit in order to get those settings! Be carefull if its not hacked and using lipo!!

Losikid is right. The stock radio needs a 3s lipo to work, and a hacked one with the vr mod can run a 2s lipo since it can run at a lower voltage and you can turn down the low voltage alarm

I really want to do this to my GT3B, I run 3 trucks with it now and seems like the thing is beeping at me every other day.

Does anybody have any recommendations on specific 3s packs that are known to fit?

Will that fit? Says its 19mm thick and it looks like we have more like about 15mm to work with. Granted I haven't pulled the battery tray yet but I'm measuring the outside of the battery compartment with my digital calipers and trying to account for the thickness of the plastic as well as the battery door.
