Default Fxr cutting out??!! VIDEO ADDED

I Am having problems with my FXR and can't figure it out. I am running a axial 27t, Losi 2.4 radio, Savox 1258tg in a SCX10. I run a 2S Lipo and often while driving the thing will get a mind of its own. The power will cut out, the servo will be unresponsive for about 5 seconds or so then function normally. This will happen fairly often. The LED show the correct 1 & 4 lit, but appears to flash VC(voltage cutoff) when this happens. I have tried running with no VC and also with option 2, which is 2s cutoff. Both have the same issue. Any suggestion?? I've tried searching and can't figure this out. I have the FXR mounted to the outside of the axial electronics box and just the RX inside the axial electronics box. Thanks in advance
Here's a quick video of what's up...just wanna be sure its not a bad ESC

Sounds like an overload on the internal BEC of the FXR. Once the load subsides, the ESC resets and everything function fines again. I'm going to guess this happens when the steering is bound up.

It actually has just been happening driving around in my basement on carpet, which is strange

Hmm, possibly a loose connection either by your soldering, or internally on the board.

That's just my opinion.

Hmmm...do you think I would need an external BEC?? The servo isn't a really torquey one and just running 2S, the internal BEC should be able to handle that right?? The solders look tight and have the capacitor on too

Depends on the amperage the servo can actually draw. If it goes over the limit of the ESC, it'll cause the ESC to reset, for protection of the electronics. I believe the FXR can only handle around 3 amps?

Ok, maybe I need to get a castle BEC. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Probably wire it to the servo directly?

I would see if you can get some other opinions on the situation before you buy anything. If the RX can handle it, you could wire the BEC through the RX, or you could wire it directly to the servo.

Try unpluging the servo and drive it back and forth and see if you have same issues. To narrow problems. I have 2 fxr and they do that to me when they overheat. Now both have fans and bec. No problems.

Ok, I'll try that out. So if it's fine without servo connected is it safe to say a BEC would be the fix? I have only driven the truck indoors and never under load so would be surprised if the FXR can't handle it on its own

Well it will help figure if It's a bum servo or something with bec or an internal electrical problem. I ran a hitec 7955 on stock bec for long time no problems.

No sweat! I just made a sticky at the top of this forum for you It really is a requirement for crawlers to have an external BEC 99% of the time.

I have the same problem and a CC BEC didn't help. Kinda stumped on it. Even Tekin didn't have any good ideas other than send it and let them check it.

Nothing yet. I know how long my pack lasts. I usually don't crawl too long at a time, so I'll probably turn the voltage cutoff OFF and time it or get a voltage alarm till I get it figured out.

Mine still does it even with VC turned off. It happens with a fully charged pack, sucks. I may have to call, never dealt with them before, hope it's not a problem getting it fixed
