| GT3B with lights anyone.
I added some LEDs on a switch powered by my lipo inside the radio. Purpose is to make it back to the car safely when we've been out crawlin after dark, or find lost parts while night crawlin. Am I the first to do this or even think about doing it? Let's see what ya'll got. I have a surefire pocket light and spent way too much not to use it lol. Great idea though would also be handy navigating around while crawling at night, eliminate those slips and falls haha |

Not sure I would do it....but.....great mod & thanks for sharing. What LED's did you use and did you add a reflector?? I have a mini-mag light, thus it covers most of what your mod does. Still a neat idea though. |

I use 18k mcd super brights, no reflectors just bezels, and a switch so they are not on all the time. I'm still going to carry my flash light also. We walk back on some pretty rough rock faces in the dark so this is added safety... mostly for my old foggie friend that I crawl with .

awesome idea. may have to look into it. Tx is always in your hand anyway, why not incorporate a flashlight. bet someone out there is creative enough to program the firmware to control the "headlight". could you possibly do a build thread on this? i would like some more details.

anyway, I know this is not a necessary mod, but I had all the parts and it was a fairly quick add on that enhances a pre existing product. now I only have to wait for spring to go night crawlin again. Last edited by rockhugger; 01-09-2013 at 09:23 PM.

Great idea! I can see all kinds of in-the-field uses for that.
