Default Bec ???

Okay...I've got the BEC (CC BEC 6.0V). I'm wanting to go 3s. My rig is the RS10 XT (shutup, I'm having a blast) with stock motors (for now) on 2s 25c, 10 tooth pinions, metal gears, aluminum spur plate, and hardened pins. I'm running the FS GT3C TX with the 3 ch. GR3C RX and I have a micro servo dig switch in the 3rd channel slot. ??? Can I run the CC BEC to the Aux slot on my RX or do I have to run it to the ch. 3 slot? The RS10 has NOOO steering so I love what the dig can give and I'd really like to keep it. Before anyone ask the red + lead on the stock ESC will be removed.

The power rail on most RX's is common, thus the external BEC can plug into any open RX port.

Thanks for the info guys. That is how I figured it worked. I just wanted to be sure.
This is why I love this forum. Straight answers and almost always good information.
My allowance for next week will have to go to a STAR purchase.

I'm sure you meant...... What bec did you use?

It says "cc" so that would be castle creations, and I'm sure its the 10 amp.

JokersWild is right. The BEC is the Castle Creations, and its the 10 amp.
I picked mine up from Holmes Hobbies. Fast Shipping and almost instant response to my e-mail questions.

I prefer to wire the bec directly to the servo and power the rx with the ESC's bec. Less chances for voltage drop, and you aren't pulling all those watts through the rx for no reason. Either way will work in most cases though.

+1, I always run the external BEC output direct to the servo. My method does NOT involve cutting/soldering, it's a "plug & play".

OKay...

Battery directly to the BEC and ESC.

Let the ESC power the RX as usual in Ch.2 slot.

Send + and - from the BEC to my servos' + and -, and the signal wire from the servo to Ch.1 slot on the RX.

If I don't use a Y harness and solder every thing in, what do I do with the signal wire from the BEC?

***EDIT*** Should I also bring the ground from the servo to the RX?

I don't worry about it, but it is an issue now & then. Mostly with Spektrum radios, but can happen any time to any radio. It won't hurt anything, it "may" help.

I would build custom jumper........ This way you have access to changing the bec voltage easily and or swapping servos.
