quick question, overgearing is also a problem on 2 cells? A friend has a tekin 35T+fxr with stock gears and was wondering if he can use my 23 pinion and 80 spur, for changing from 20/87 to 23/80.

Overgearing is overgearing.....doesn't matter the specs.

80/20 on even 2s is too steep in my opinion....23/80 would be even worse.

As you go up in voltage, the motor will spin up higher. A smaller pinion will be needed.

It doesn't mater what's powering your car if you are always trying to start out in 5th gear.

Thanks again for replies. You know if there's a problem with HH? I wrote to JRH@holmeshobbies.com for an advice on motor and combo disponibility 2 days ago, still no answer today.

I order it anyway, but I had a problem cause the web page said paypal OR credit card (not AND), and so tough I could buy with credit card only, but then my paypal password was asked. I recently changed my cc so had to update paypal (2-3 days confirmation) and so the order is incomplete. I wrote to orders@holmeshobbies.com about the issue and still no answer.

Wrote directly to HH in the forum as a private msg no answer.

Its a 214 dollars bill, and still no word from HH.

Have you had similar issues like this in the past?
