ok so i will order at least 1 for my foff... but are the benefits worth it if I already have a 946 and can spend 1/2 cost of 968 to match my 4ws?

actually @ $45 each i would expect them to be much better... i guess im going to stick with my original thought... as $25 vs $90-100...

just trying to get things together and functioning at this point and easier to replace with something nicer when the time comes and if this breaks. however if Towerpro MG946R works great and dies in a year I can buy 10 so ill be good for 10 years!

thx for your time and thoughts...

I prefer my steering servos to have 250 oz of torque at minimum if there will be any serious driving. The 946 is only about 160 oz.

A servo that can keep your front wheels pointed in the intended direction at all times may actually outperform 4WS with 2 weaker servos.

I would recommend the 946 in the 4ws.i have 12 in use at the moment even 4 in my super.
also recommend a bec to get the voltage up to 6.5 to 7 volts to get a bit more oomph.

in the 986 there are some small some issues. the horn does not have 25 teeth like all the other tower pros
and the screw is not a 3mm either like the others.

try the 986 in the Camaro, and let us know what you think of it. I have also been wanting to try them
but I hold back because of the horn. haha I still have 5 more horns to use up before I buy any more.
(flimsy excuse, I know)

ok ...

ordered 2x 946r

and for now...

proline tuber has cc bec and 3s and 1 of these servos. going to take it out and put it into the camaro for now. I purchased a new cc bec for the camaro as it too will be running 3s.

didnt know you could program the cc so will be googling that later.

todays mission is to get steering in, bec in and fire it up. also have replacement shocks as the ones on it now are stiffies...

as seen here...

Heard from Tower Pro the MG968 is sold out as it appears to be on backorder everywhere. The lead time is around 2-3 weeks For another set to be put out. Just a FYI for those waiting.
