Thank you for the fast reply. At the beginning of your thread the pic shows a DEANS plug, did you make that one or does DEANS make it? The Gooch |

I solder two plugs together for that.

Question JRH, Is it true that the Mamba Max can only take a max of a 3cell Lipo? Does that mean that I cant take (2) 2cell Lipo's and run them in parallel to increase my mah. and leaving my voltage the same? The Gooch |

You could do that. Two packs in parallel are the same voltage, so two 2s packs are still 2s voltage but double the runtime.

Anyone pushed a JR servo past 6v? I want to, but only if somebody else did it first It's a JR 4800T. |

I've been running your pre-wired version of the CC BEC without clipping the red wire with a MM now for several months with no problems. However, would you recommend this with a Sidewinder or Rooster Crawler or any other ESC? I just thought I'd ask before doing it plus see if you are still running yours without clipping the power from the BEC. Could there be any long term impact from this? Thanks

I always disconnect the red wire on the ESC's rx plug. Getting back voltage from the CC BEC into the ESC's BEC isn't productive, although on a Castle product I have a feeling it just goes backwards into the battery instead of destroying things. It would burn up most other internal BECs though.

I thought CC ESC's were different than most others and could handle it. Glad I asked and didn't 'test' it first on a different brand.

Ok here is my problem.... I wire up my CCBEC and plug it into my DX6 REC, I'm running 2 JR servos, 2 Mamba25's w/O.G. Revolvers and a 4200mah stick pack for power. I have the CCBEC set at 6v, and my rig can be sitting on flat ground when I mess with the servos and put a load on it shuts down. I swapped the CCBEC out for a MPI and it never shuts down, any Ideas why it dose this? |

Which JR servos? The ones that will pull 10 amps each? |

Can you use a CCBEC in a nitro vehicle to both be a lipo regulator and a lipo protection 2S shut off?

No, it does not have a shutoff. You would have to time the runs so that the lipo wasn't overdrawn.

I have my BEC set at 6.1 volts, I have found when the main pack voltage gets low, the lighting I have running off of it begins to flicker. as long as I'm paying attention It should be a decent warning.

i'm going to be running 2 hitec 805bb's and was wondering if i should run 2 bec's, because i've read that these can pull about 7 amps each i'm not a fan of burning electronics up in my cars because i've already had this car catch on fire before, because something couldn't handle the stress |

I am running 2 8711's in my 2.2, one for steering and one for dig, and my CCBEC takes care of business no sweat. I am stumped on Likes2crawl's and Rockmike's issues.

your's is only a 2.2, so pushing the 40 series tires round you'd put a fair bit more strain on it, that would be my guess after johns recommendation i'll be running 2 on my super |

That is true, but the MPI regulator he swapped in doesn't put out as many amps(amps go down as input voltage goes up on that one), and it is working fine with that one even on 11.1v, it's just weird, but electronics can be that way sometimes. I manage to stall out my 8711 often on my high traction rocks, even with just 2.2 tires, and he's just driving on flat ground and barely putting any strain on them.
