Yea, it's a 3 position momentary but forgot the exact term for it. Tell you what. I need some parts anyway. Let me know when you're headed over there and I can meet you and show you the exact one. PM me and I'll pipe you my cell number.

Ha! That would be awesome if you can make it work, but isn't it kind of big? If that's the same size as the window switches on my 99 Z28 you're gonna need a shoe horn to get it in the radio. Whatever you do post pics!

dude it would be easy just do it urself... get some little 2.5k micro pots and wire them up as frito has shown how to do with the rear steering.

Hey frito I have a thought... Could you not just take the three wires for the 3rd channel and hook them up directly to the steering wheel pot but in on the 2 outside wires of the 3rd channel put ur EPA pots and use them as mixers... all the way open full rear steer... all the way closed little to kno rear steer. THEN you could put a reversing switch so you could crab walk at the flick of a switch.

But as i am thinking the 2 center wires would conflict (would they?) mabe go with out the center wire on the 3rd channel and just hook up the outer 2 wires tho the steering pot... RRR i need a tq3

Found a 2k pot that'll work great as the EPA pot. It's Allied stock # 3386F-1-202 on this page.

As for a steering pot, any 5k pot from Radio Shack will work.

Well I'm sure you can work in as much complexity as you like but I wonder if it'll be that useful. I think until I come up with a self centering mechanism I'll stick to a switch for steering. If I need more control than that I'm gonna press my 9C into surface service.

i went to radio shack, but the 5k pots were 1/2watt instead of the 1/4 watt you mentioned... what would be the difference? would it hurt anything to be running a bigger pot?

No difference for this application. Those will do just fine.

is there a way to tell what what switch will work for rear wheel steering, i've seen lots of 3way switches that say on-off-on, but will that steer my tires left and right?

There's nothing special about the switch. As long as it's a 3 conductor (on)-off-(on) it'll work fine. BTW, (on) in parentheses means momentary.

Mounts in a 1/4" hole.
Solder lug terminals.

would that be the right switch to use? (how many wires is the stock tq3 switch?) can i just take out the old switch and solder on the new one?
