WHAT !!!!! YOU weren't informed so we could have an unbiased opinion?

PUHLEESE Jato..............This isnt a G Made that everyone panned and didnt sell. This is Associated, and I know their product quality, as do the "fluffers"

they all also ran and drove it, ripped the bumpers and lack of approach so im not sure where the fluff was.

I also suspect this will actually ship unlike the Venture SBK i'm still waiting for....

Not me. I wasn't there. Just anybody that wasn't a YouTube fluffer AKA paid advertiser.

I assume it will be good as well, but that's only an assumption.

Nice, that's the only 'complaint' I could make about my TRX-4 is the noisy 32p metal gear drivetrain. Ascender, TF2, SCX, et al all much quieter.
My TRX-4s are smooth and quiet. The only time it wasn't quiet I removed and reinstalled the motor and that seem to fix things for some odd reason. I think it's the crappy motor mount system that Traxxas uses.

AE is having a public test-day at CDM rocks this weekend here in So-Cal. (Corona Del Mar)

One of the fellows that is ALWAYS there running and testing his rigs was telling me about being part of the engineering/planning group for the launch. They REALLY did their homework on this one. Expect it to be a home run knock it out of the ballpark.

Nice, yes I expect so.
Yeah, it's a half-hour drive for us and we do down there most weekends to test and get our fix. There is almost always other crawlers there, it's like a premier place to crawl for the LA basin. Was down there for an hour Monday over the holiday. Had some time to kill and then went to the local brewery and home.

I may end up down there Saturday, just because. Can't recall which day they had the demo planned, but I don't really need to try it - mine will arrive in a a couple of weeks and then I can play to my hearts content.

Sunday is the annual Huntington Beach Concours de Elegance car show - I'm a judge.

Do you expect them to give them to just anyone on the street?

Sometimes I think you say things just to be on the negative side.

What would be so difficult or so bad about having a demo unit with a demo course?

The units we had were air shipped ahead of the container coming overseas. They are expensive to send and I know for a fact they had a very small number in the states at that time. I bet a dozen people drove mine and I saw Shultz hand his radio off as well. They weren't being shrouded in secrecy, it was simply the very first release day.

See the post above lead me to believe ONLY a select few were allowed to drive them. So if people handed their controllers off then I guess average Joes got to sample it. That makes much more sense.

Let me know if you go Saturday. I'll try to make it out. Depends on time though. Sunday I won't be able to.

Yes, there were a handful of them at PLBF...they were driving them all over the place. The EZ-Up display had dirty cars. LOL

It's really a cool rig - lots of great features. Fascinating place and time to introduce them...prior to that they have kept it under wraps, so it was a real surprise.

You can pre-order at Team-Losi warehouse online. They'll be here mid-June.

They were all over the trails. I did not get to drive one, but I didn't ask. We did run with one for a while. Obviously approach and departure angles hampered performance, but that is an easy fix. It seemed to do pretty good and was extremely quiet.

As for plastic trans gears, they can be durable...A certain maker just seems to make theirs out of butter so those don't hold up. I know I had plenty of abusive 4s packs through my Roc 412 equipped TRX-4 with plastic trans gears and never had an issue.
