Rig is looking good brother. What do you like or what works better for you with this setup that did not with your moonbuggy setup? Sent you a pm |

I'm in the save the bodies campaign just a little longer, however I go through Rc stuff like I go through toilet paper, maybe the XR10 will get a bodiless chassis?

In the bottom picture, I cut a groove into the bottom of the JinD retainer, that mod is detailed in my FF-4 build thread. | |

Been seeing this shock setup alot now, what benefit do you have over regular setup?

For must of us, we have so much steering our tires are usually pulling our springs off, or down in certain situations which causes the rig to act differntly while competing, usually always in a negative fashion. Flipping the shocks upside down with smaller springs still gives you the same performance, but allows the tires to rub against the shock bodies without hindering performance in any way.

Yea, I've been running with that shock setup for quite a while, I still have no wear on the shock bodies at all. Tune with springs and oil, you can also add some preload with spacers between the rod end and the cup, but you will lose a small amount of travel.

Well Finally got a video up on the tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K7cGJryFFU Sorry for the crappy edit, at least the quality is good! My comp won't handle the HD edit so I have to make it simply and sweet for now. I noticed in the video it seems to hop alot more then I notice in person on inclines. Suggestions welcome. Running nova foams, maybe need a softer foam? |

After a few request and interest from myself as well, I cut our first test knuckles for the enlarged 6x12x4 outer knuckle bearings for the 300 CVD's. These should be available shortly to the public! But for now here's the sneak peak! Just like our berg knuckles, these are a high steer Zero Ackerman knuckle. |

After the ORCRC comp I felt I had some more room for improvements, but not from the crawler. So I decided to dedicate my saturday to practice. I first had to give the crawler some love by installing the new knuckles. During this I found a broken 300 pin, a loose motor and a broken servo mount On course 4 I watched alot of drivers exit a gate that ended up making them fall and taking out another gate. To prevent this I took a gamble and ramped off about a 4.5 foot cliff. It paid off, but aparently I broke some stuff too, luckily I finished the course and didn't even notice the issues until I went to give the rig some pre run lovin. Really been working on getting some drive time on my rig to increase my abilities on the rocks. Did a 6 hour session this saturday at SDS customs house and took some time to get some clips of the rig. I didn't let the foams drive after my previous comp and it really killer some performance, so new nova foams are on the way. |
