| ...You obviously looked at where I was from and assumed I was Japanese? Nope...But i DO speak fluent Japanese and my wife and children are half Japanese if that is what is annoying you... Quote:

Got a little box of goodies from nwtractech today. I'll be choosing a setup and installing these today. I'll post up what I end up running and any cutting on the foam's that I do. I'm running rc4wd's clod offset 2.2 wheel's. Weighted them today. |

Looks like it's getting closer Jason, should be a solid performer when you get it done. |

I ran non-memory foam's at the last couple comp's I attended and liked what they did. I've decided to keep going that route. I had a few choice's from nwtractech and decided on there non-memory dual rate foam's.(Dual rate..Outer edge of foam is a stiffer compound to help give sidehill support.) If you've never seen or felt these you'll notice a huge diffrence from standard tire foam's. They are diffrent because........well I'm no foamologist so I'll leave it at that. (First picture)In the front I'm running the dual rate's that measure 2 5/8 wide with a inner diameter of 2 3/8 and an outer diameter of 4 3/4. On these I trimmed the corner's on both inside and outside(slightly deeper on inside) (Second Picture)In the rear I'm running the same dual rate compound's but a diffrent size. There narrower and taller than the front's at 2 1/4 wide with the same 2 3/8 inner diameter and an outer diameter of 5 1/8. (Third Picture)Is a side by side comparison of front and rear foam's that I'm running, shorter foam is front. Taller, untrimmed foam is rear. The reasoning behind this setup is to create a little less straigh on traction in the rear for straight climbs, etc. While running the rear foam narrower still allow's good corner grip for tires to grab little rock edge's for climbs. The wider but shorter foam in front gives good compresion/traction while giving better sidehill support(more important in front than rear) That's the basic's behind my choice.
