LOL, you guy's are funny. I hope to keep the schedule under 4 month's Jason. I'm waiting to get the axle's back from Big D. He's doing the machine work afterhour's. It's getting close. He's also using his machinery to do the delrin peices for the torsion and the skid. I figure there was no reason to do the delrin at home with a dremel since the axle work will be so nice. Once I get the part's back it should come together pretty quick. I'm still waiting on the VF dig....I keep getting a "soon" everytime I ask about it. I also still need to get internal gear's for the Axial tranny. I think that's about it. Other than that it's mostly assembly. Then it should only have a couple minor hangup's that any new and unique build might have. The Goal is to have it done for the April 5th WARCRC comp, and dialed for the TCS national's in TN. |

Gotta say thanks to BigD again. I had him do the stuff I just don't have the skill's(or tool's) for. Just got the axle's back today. They look great. He did an awsome job on the delrin axle mount's for the torsion. He also built me a slick delrin skid/tranny/torsion mount for the edge chassis. I started on the axle's tonight. I had to do a little mod's to the Delrin since I forgot to tell BigD I planned to loose the battery/4link mount's for the axle's. This meant some minor dremel work so the axle's didn't hit the torsion mount's on the axle's. I also shaved the center diff for clearance tonight. Got one done, still one to go. I hope to finish the rear axle tomorrow and start working on a unique BTA setup for the steering. We will see how it goes. Here's some poser pic's of the chassis and axle's. I'm waiting on the tranny I bought from Rebman a couple day's ago...should be here soon then I can get it mounted and start really seeing were I will mount everything. Oh, and still need my VF dig. First picture show's the clearance diffrence without link/batt. mount and axle shaved compared to the one I have yet to work on. Last edited by H3RESQ; 03-27-2008 at 03:22 AM. |

That looks awesome Jason, can't wait to see it in person. Dennis did a fine job on the machining and other parts. Give me a call if you need some help with that BTA...... Tim.

He return's my pm's well and answer's question's in good detail. These axle's were a great purchase and the service is great! I hope to get going on the steering mock-up after work tomorrow. |

Got the tranny together with the slipper(thanks Double J, for the tranny.) Dig should be here midweek. Started on the BTA, I tried to save the upper set of shock mount's but they had to go to make the BTA work, Just got them cut off(sloppy, I'll make it pretty later) Waiting for stupid CORDLESS dremel to charge so I can start cutting the stainless for BTA.....Here's were I'm at waiting for charge.......Guess I'll work on the Super for a bit.LOL Don't laugh at the last picture.....ok go ahead, I did when I got the idea. |

| Drill/Tab the beautiful delring......something like picture. I really felt bad about cutting them off. The axle's are awsome and my fab ability is limited to a cordless dremel, cut of wheel, and unmounted vice, and drill:-( I feel that BTA was more important than front shock's. With torsion's it's the way the rear reacts sometimes that I don't like.....so I'm really just wanting shock's in the rear, but if possible I will run them in the front. |

Got rear shaved, checked clearance for the first time...2 3/4 a the skid, 2 7/8 at the rocksmith titanium torsion rod's.....I mounted the rod's as low as possible on the axle's so clearance could go higher if someone was willing to sacrafice CG.....I like it at this height.
