I can't believe they spent $170,000 on the 1:1 but yours looks badass.

You think that's bad, try having the lil' rig on the bench as you work on other things.

Been swamped this week. Spent most of my time working on other things.

Stopped by Advance Auto for another 180" of tubing.

That's always fun.

"I need some brake line."

"What vehicle?"

"Jeep, I guess..."

Might go out in a few to get some work done.

At least they actually knew what brake line was, and where it's at in the store. The last time I went, I had to go behind the counter and point it out.

BTW, This is the only nylint thread I've viewed since giving mine away. Keep up the awesome tube work!

Working on it tonight.

Wasn't happy with the A pillars and a couple of associated tubes.

They got hacked off a few minutes ago.

I'm supposed to be making progress.

After I eat dinner I'll get started on replacing the crap I cut off.

Not sure how much I'll get done...don't have that much brazing alloy left.

If I'd been thinking I'd have picked up another 5oz Friday at the welding supply shop.

If nothing else I'll just keep tacking pieces together.

Came inside for a quick drink...here's an update.

Made them A pillars look like they should. Also stuck the lower windshield bar in place and bent some new tubes for the sides and front fenders. Did more cutting to what's left of the hood.

Looks great! Is the top of the roll cage on the 1:1 Suicide Sally made of square tubing?

No.

There's tabs added that run around all the upper and windshield tubing. When the panels (including the windshield) are bolted in place they're water tight.

Notice how the windshield is made to curve over into the top portion of the cage.
