| "Suicide Sally"
I've been wanting to build a nice Nylint for a while now and after seeing BOWTIE's comp Nylint I finally broke down and got started on a nice Nylint rig. I removed the cage, windshield, and a good bit of the body. Basically I've left myself with the hood, fenders, grille, and interior tub. Everything else is gone...including the chassis. I'll be using the axles, two sets of Mini-T rear shocks, and a good bit of brake tubing. I figure I'll keep the stock wheels/tires to get the look I'm after. Here's what I'm shooting for, a scale Poison Spider Customs "Suicide Sally" Started off hacking the body to work with Sally's design... ...then farted around with the Mini-T shocks. (even though I'll be making a full tube frame) So hopefully I'll find some time to work on this. I'll sit tonight and draw up the frame, determine wheelbase, etc. Lots of work to do. The good news is that I've already got the correct tires. |

With any luck. The orange and purple isn't a big deal, that's easy to pull off. The spider and lettering will be the hard part. I've got a local painter here that would likely lay down some paint if I ask nice. |

Started drawing up the frame but realized I needed to change the body a hair. Fixed the corner of the body near the windsheild/A pillar so it resembles the Bruiser corner pieces that are used on the PSC chassies. I'll most likely completely remove what's left of the front fenders and make my own to fit the frame. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 12-28-2005 at 11:13 PM. |

Sweet. I'm sure it will turn out great! Going with the same servo setup as you had before? Those mini-t shocks, they have enough travel? I think a set of oil shocks would really set my truck off, sucker bounces too much with the phony shocks on there now. Eventually I'll tear into this bone stock Scorpion I got and build a 4 link. |

Adam, these ARE oil shocks. ;) With the Mini-T shocks mounted up in stock locations I can get 3.25-3.5" under one tire and keep the other 3 on the ground. Nothing outstanding, but the truck is empty right now, no electronics. Last edited by JasonInAugusta; 12-28-2005 at 05:53 PM. |

For some reason the fronts of these things looked bulky. I couldn't put my finger on it, but after comparing the front to the images I have of the Poison Spider rig I noticed that the outer edges of the grille needed work. The right side is modded, left is stock. Also made the fenders into flatties like on my other Nylint Jeep. They will still get more trimming once I start putting the tube into place. |

| Not to be a nitpicker, but isn't that the left side that's modded? Or was that intended for people who don't know their left from their right? I remember seeing an old pic of a scorpion with "L" and "R" in duct tape on the hood (I'm assuming the driver couldn't find a spotter who knew the difference... ) -WRM |

Adam...Oh, you meant YOUR truck. Hey Rich... I meant right as you look at it in the pic. ;) But yeah, back during the Scorpion build I HAD to label the left/right parts because they were made to fit the frame. |
