Like Manning said. get the compound right first and foremost and you will be golden. If you could produce something with a similar compound to that of the HB red compound with a tread pattern combining HB Khaos and blocks. with a height of 5.7". You will be onto a real winner.

Honestly i would just prefer a 5.5 tall pin tire with sidelugs, that way people can take them off if they want to, and a compound similar to the hb red dot or the losi red dot. im not a fan of anything taller than 5.5in on a 2.2 because i feel its super difficult to tune foams with em

i thought the boss claw was like 5.3 or 5.2 i know my khaos tire is taller as well as my rovers and sedonas
*EDIT* losi site says they are 5.35in tall

Boss claw is 5.0" smaller that the sedonas. Also with small pins I am not a fan of. Larger pins seems to work a little better.

Depending on wheel and foam, yeah, that's about right. I was just thinking that if a new tire was going to be made, it should be somewhat different than what's already out there....

make one like the "khaos" custom tire and you should be good to go.
get your tire compound right and a good bead for mounting and you should have a winner!

I'm new to this but does anyone make a larger diameter wheel that would allow you to run a 6" tire with a smaller sidewall? Could be an option.

I'm sure they do, but anything larger than 2.2" in Bead ID is not allowed by USRCCA rules.

I'm putting the finishing touches on the CAD file right now...I may get it finished up as early as this weekend. It's 5.5 X 2 I'll post a 3D rendering when it's done

I'm working with the factory on a custom super soft synthetic rubber compound, things are looking good...very good
