| Re: HPI Venture... Pros/Cons/?'s/Thoughts?
My mate has one and I run my scx10.2 kit against it. All I can say is it is really really capable. It basically out performs my scx at every turn bar ground clearance. It has somersaulted down hills I'd expect to kill it, and driven away unscathed. It has been submerged several times over with no ill effects inc axles still properly greased when inspected. The body may not be to everyone's tastes but it's a fine truck out on the trails. We haven't yet done rock climbing, only mud banks and woodland. The servo packed up in a mud bog, but that was bound to happen. Nothing has leaked or split. The complete and utter lack of parts by hpi esp in the UK, and most relevantly by the aftermarket industry is disappointing and may see them stay on the shelves. But what a shame that would be. https://youtu.be/H51enbmn0eQ https://youtu.be/w4p0aEYQRQc Sent from my LG-H850 using Tapatalk |

Canonman, thanks for the videos and input. If you back off your shock spring preload it should crawl even better, maybe leave little on the rear to help on steep climbs. |
