The more I look at that box, I don't know why I bought it. That's why I have had it for 2 months sitting in a corner unopened. I have been thinking about selling it anyway. I'll probably hold onto it and build it way on down the road.

As an Ascender owner, I definitely noticed that as well!

Sounds like way more fun than drag racing, IMO.

Saw this on IG, apparently a kit version is incoming sooner than later.

That is what I'd do. Let the hype and expectations settle on this new Axial offering. Unless something drastically changed over there it will have flaws, they all do. Let the aftermarket catch up then go for it.

You can't go wrong with that GK though, I would take one in a second.

All you'd need is a pile of rocks and dirt or some demo site haul off dumped in the yard.

Arriving Everywhere February 12th, 2021

The cage and other plastic parts are inexpensive, could be cool to get the orange one and then get the fuel tank in black or grey, etc

The tires list price are supercheap - wonder if that will change - $19.99 a pair!

This SHOULD cause some new releases in the 2.2" tire and wheel world, as those have been dying out of late because of low sales...

Haven't watched the videos, but besides size and cage what's the difference between this and the bomber?

*Edit* Anyone notice at the 3:19/20 mark the front drivers tire completely stops while everything else is moving? Does it have open diffs? maybe LSD? Looks like a fun bashing rig.

That's what I'm saying. I wish it had rear steer. As far as I'm aware, there isn't anything like this with rear steer, right? Or am I missing something lol.

This is pretty rad. I love the tube work on the body, looks like something someone personally built. The shock design is sweet too, I'd like to see this in a 90mm version. The way the cap seals and an o-ring on the bleeder is nice too. LOVE the faux brake set up! The only real complaint I have is the wheels. Shame to have such a nice rig with glue ons, plastic beadlocks would be worth and extra $20 to me... not that it matters since everyone will swap them out anyway, lol.

I'll be looking for the kit version...

Lou

no rear steer that I saw. It seems like an updated bomber. Looks rad though. I'll need a set of those axles to replace the ar60s on my wroncho

If you think an Ultra 4 race car and a rock bouncer are kind of the same thing, well, I'd suggest watching some more ultra 4 racing and rock bouncing.

Solid diffs, lose the TA in the rear, and it would be a nice crawler, too.

Open diffs with the option to run lockers, $9.99 list price for each metal one-piece spool...

The front axle has a new "captured servo" on axle design, with a couple part swaps rear-steer would be easy...

Most definitely worth playing with rear trailing arm lengths/converting to links, etc - just as we did with Bombers and Wraiths...
