I'm quite aware of the difference. I'm sure the bomber could do everything the ryft can do and vice versa. If you think an Ultra 4 race car can do everything a rock bouncer can, well, I'd suggest watching some more ultra 4 racing and rock bouncing.

I'm not saying it's not a rad rig, but it's a bigger bomber.

Good to hear that, I feel one of these rigs would be right at home with 4ws.

Ah okay that makes sense. I'm assuming the same ar60 gears? Would be nice to add U/D front

It was already settled after the Capra release that all tube frame vehicles Axial releases are the exact same thing, just different.

Regardless of the why, I'd have to say that's a good suggestion. I think I will do that.

After watching Harley's video and seeing all the new details that went into this new rig, I'm really getting excited about picking one up in the future!

I kinda got burn't out on 2.2 rigs a couple years back and went full on tiny tires, but I think this new Ryft may help me "bounce" back into the bigger 2.2 world!

for the 99.9% of RCers that don't eat, sleep, and breathe that stuff, they more or less fill the same niche. If you want an all purpose, crawler, basher, U4RC toy, then a BomberRyftGateKeeperWraithasaurus is probably on your radar.

At times, I feel like it is a bit of a shame that Ultra4 / off road racing is not more popular. I think historically, making it into decent television programming was definitely a challenge, with so much action, and limited camera capabilities. I feel like drone and camera technology has improved recently, which has made some of the live coverage more enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not a dedicated fan of the sport, but it does sometimes draw my attention.

InstaGram is fairly lit up with mixed reaction on this rig. Funny to see what all people notice/don't like about it. Tough crowd. Everything from the servo facing the wrong direction to why does a bouncer have open diffs or why no sway bar...

Idk kinda wish I didnt spend thousands building 2 rock bouncers from (aftermarket) wraith and bomber parts. Been cheaper to get 2 of these kits. Well maybe I'll still get one, eventually. Hope its a whole lot stronger then thier previous 2.2 rigs...

Servo facing the wrong direction?

WTF?

Faces the same direction as my Bomber.

The cage and other plastic parts are inexpensive, could be cool to get the orange one and then get the fuel tank in black or grey, etc

The tires list price are supercheap - wonder if that will change - $19.99 a pair!

This SHOULD cause some new releases in the 2.2" tire and wheel world, as those have been dying out of late because of low sales...

Harley said he's dropping an axle breakdown video Sunday and that these are all new, no ar60 gears or parts.

Hell yeah!

That would make for a 3rd set I'd have to buy - already got the 1.7" and 1.9"...

I have to finish watching ultimate adventure 2020 first. I was never a huge ultra fan, bouncers are fun to watch, but I'd rather watch TTC or something similar.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to that. trans looks the same, so should still be easy swap for a wroncho or scxryft

Due to the pumpkin is offset, you wouldn't be able to run a front axle housing on the rear.

You'd have to rotate it 180 and remount the steering servo on the other side somehow.

Looks like they have provisions for a sway bar.
