Well I finally got my hpi cvds. Amd tbh can't see much of a difference at all.

You should get more steering and smoother rotation at full steering lock.

The steering increase is quite a bit less than what I was expecting, more than the dog bones but still less than a 10.2 - not the best designed CVD's I've ever seen, also not the worst though..

The smoothness and increased reliability are really the big benefits of the HPI CVD's..

The RC4WD universal's open the steering angle up more but there's been some quality issues on them..

My kit instructions showed filing down the steering stops a bit, any chance that needs to be done? I'd say my venture steers almost as sharp as my Ascender.

That definitely helps but the flaw (if you wanna call it that) is the design of the Cup/Ball joint, that's where the restriction comes from.

I don't mean to make it sound like a harsh criticism or anything. It's just a statement of fact. I'm completely happy with the amount of steering angle available to my Venture, but I do acknowledge that it's less than a 10.2 with universals.
