Ok, so until Snoopmax tells us how to use the LOSI LST cvd's on the WK axles...What are my current options for beefing up the current stock front axles ?? I have eliminated breaking them in the rear so far by swapping in the STRC rear lock out with Stainless Steel axles.....but now I am breaking them in the front...I have one stock spare left and I don't really want to continue buying the stock WK ones at $15 for two at the rate I am breaking them....Not Sweet.

Any suggestions??

Options - Big fat ZERO They make stainless steel dogbones but they break just as quick as stock. Integy has a universal CVD but I hear they are crap and you can tell that just by looking at them. Yep this sucks!!

Ok....well not too happy about that action..... :(

Chongdigga: Do the stainless steel dog bones break as fast as the stock ones if you dont have a 75 Horse Power brushless system like you do ????
Maybe you can convince Snoopmax to do a build thread on the Losi LST cvd's for the rest of us....??

My rc4wd stainless ones held up great to regular crawling. A lot of things change when you go brushless, high speed.

I sent RCP a few messages, one to the guy on here and some to their site, but I never got a responce.

Maybe someone else could try...

Ask RCP how many PRE orders would be required in order for them to get a shipment in.

I would be good for a few sets, probably 2 or more...

So MIP makes the WK cvd's. And they only did a limited production run for RCP crawlers. So why is everyone giving RCP a hard time?

We should be trying to contact MIP to make the WK CVD's more available....

Just my $0.02

MIP only works in large quantities. You have to commit to several thousand dollars at dealer cost to get them to produce things. I have worked with them before. The WK is just not very popular and the stock shafts work well enough for the target market that the WK is after.

Like Brian said, look how long it took for them to sell their last batch. That right there should tell you that your chances are slim and none.

So besides you breaking a inner axle cup, and Chondigga snapping an outer shaft from jumping with UBER off-set wheels...

Has anyone else broken a MIP CVD for a Wheely King?

I know with the Axial guys, they were popping them left and right, literally.

Sure it sucks that they aren't making them anymore. But I'm sure glad mine have held up to all the abuse I've given them with my cobalt puller!

I have a suggestion. If RCP doesn't want to front the cash to commission a rerun of the CVD's why don't one of you? The tooling is already done and ready to go so you won't have to pay any of that so you'r investment would be less then RCP's initial cost.

Maybe we could rent or buy the tooling as a group. Of course, we need someone that has the machinery to build the parts (which I don' t).

I use Losi LST cvd's the axles are wider after this modification

And you need longer lockouts

are those shafts the same diameter for shaft bearings? and,
is it possible to shorten and grind flats in the shaft to keep from widening?

I was thinking the same thing !!! I think most of us could cut and grind some flat spots with some basic garage tools.

If someone had the money, they could buy two sets of Super 300's and shorten down the long axle to fit. They are 6mm shafts.

You would probably have to run Axial knuckles, so the track width would narrow up a smidge...

They are 6mm shafts
The inner shaft is 4,5mm and I cut roughly 40mm of and grinded flat spots to fit the WK locker

I got the idea from an older thread here on RCC

The rear axle is 6mm stainless steel with wider lockouts

With the re release of the Kyosho TF
I would consider narrowing a set of TF axles and use them on a WK
