Kamikaze... Yeah, I noticed your build a little while after I started mine. I think someone else had bought yours when I saw it. Yours looks great! I used the design as a base, then made it work for what I wanted. I also cut out A LOT of the unnecessary tubing. I'm happy with the way it turned out, I really liked the lines of the 1:1 it's based on.

I am running a WK tranny that has the motor clocked, there are good pics of it on the first page of this thread. The trans case had to be dremeled out a little to allow proper gear mesh. I am pretty sure this is the smallest pinion that the WK tranny will allow. | ||

I had my hobby shop order it for me, but most places keep it in stock. Or you can order on-line... http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...CH=lexan+sheet . Thanks for the compliment, she's still running great BTW. Working on making some new tires for it, when I do I'll post pics.

hmmm maybe I'll check the aircraft hobbyshop next to work tomorow. I used thick lexan and want to get some of the weight off the chassis. |

Thanks guys!! She's still working great, no major breakage, just not nearly as pretty as it used to be! I started working on a set of Jordans as I feel this rig needs a slightly taller tire, but got sidetracked and haven't really worked on it lately. Channo, it took me almost a month to build, but that was only working on it a little here and there. Could've been done much faster. I didn't use any sorta blue print, just found a design I liked and then eyeballed it from there. |
