Daaaaaaaaamn.
Melons has an illegal bumper... or lack of bumper.
• A front bumper is required and must be mounted to the vehicle's rail chassis and must be wider than the outside of the chassis rails (chassis cross rails do not count as bumpers).

pic of your bumper?

could be you just add a couple nubs to both ends...

yeah, that's all I need.
but since I still have no brazing equipment... I'm going to zip tie a tube to it.

EDIT: Unless one of you guys can help me out before ECSC.

i doubt zip tying a tube would pass tech.

i could probably braze a little 1/8" rod up there, but i wouldnt want to put it where the tires could potentially catch the edges of it at full lock. figure out where you want it, maybe bend a coat hangar and tape or take a pic for position, and i can knock that out pretty easy for ya.

is the rest of the bumper brazed, or welded?

Thanks Jason.
I'll bring it in tomorrow.
I think just a couple of nubs sticking off the horizontal bar would make it legal... and I think it's welded.

What's the trick to mounting a winch to my bumper? With the winch mounted to the mounting plate I can't get to the screw holes to the bumper?? Kinda confused...

Did you ever mount your free spool kms winch. I used my winch a lot Sunday and realized how much a pain in the ass a slow 3racing winch is.

3racing winch on 3s is no joke, but on 2s they suck.

no. I'd also run the new Pitbulls if they fit my build better. I'll be running the
Mud Thrashers in C1
TSL's in C2
Pittbulls in C3

I just bought 4 more frickin Mud Thrashers (got them for the price of 2 new) because I need one for my spare.
My MTZ was .17" too small to be a legal spare.
