I've never done under-drive/over-drive gearing...but I picked some up. Do you guys that do this use the unders in the rear and overs in the front or is it more like a standard in the rear and overs in the front? 43/13 and 36/14 is a big difference.

I use over/unders. not over/standards. I think most of the rest of us is doing the same.

Its not as drastic as you may think. Over/standards is hardly worth the benefits.

If i'm not mistaken, I think with the over/unders.. It's 1 revolution of the rear is 1.25 revolutions of the front.

I used over under gearing in Heap, overdrive the front axle, I didn't notice it much, but it did make a difference turning.

My current rig has over under too.

helps a ton on tight turns. can sometimes wash out the front end going in reverse or down really really steep stuff, but worth it for the dig effect.

i think im going to go under/under eventually in the scaleready to relieve some driveline stress.

Cool, the JK really needs some more steering. I tell you what else it needs...the driver to practice!

I think I have over/standard in Little Debbie, just because I didn't have any unders laying around. It does help tho, if you need just a tad more steering, it's just the ticket! And good for those steep downhill descends.

Jason, at the first Cliffs trip didn't you have standard gears in Timmy and it helped you keep it straight on the hill climb? I think the guys with over/under we're weaving back and forth more. Maybe it's just me imagining again... Lol

So... Am planning to work on the gelande and clod on Sat. If anyone wants to bring shot over and have an rc building party feel free. Can even throw something on the grill. Do have beer too.

Anything going on this sun? I wanna get out and see some rc action.

I also have an idea to do mini features on NIRC drivers as a monthly thing. Basically a little q&a, a little backround on that months featured NIRC driver, some pictures etc etc.

Might be cool, plus everyone will get to do a photoshoot of one rig of thier choice. Plus have pics of a few other rigs if they want.

I would come to you, or we could do most of it at a GTG, and either the featured driver can choose thier own favorite place for the photoshoot, or we can find a cool place.

I think it would be a cool way to do something different, and have other people/members learn a little more about you. No personal info. Unless you want to give that out.

What say the crew?

Sounds like a lot of work for you. Just taking pictures at an event & posting them is a lot of work. Plus, If I had a choice as a person.. I tend to stay out of the way of cameras.. And then on top of it all, typing out Q&A's? I'm pretty humble, I don't think anyone cares about ME or NIRC members that much.

Get your rigs together and come out & play.. Then I think you will be fulfilled with what that'll put on your plate.

Cool idea though.

yeah... I wouldn't want to sound like more of a blowhard than my build threads already make me out to be.

EDIT: I'd love to have you shoot more of my rigs though... my favorite shots of Melons are still the ones you took at the very first TTC.
