Gelande II, K44, BTA Steering, Panhard bar.. Hell yes! Damnit.. I was so excited to have BTA steering but, I forgot theres nowhere for the drag link to hook to!! I need to figure out how to make an "arm" coming off the front of the knuckle. Edit: I figured it out. I made a new knuckle arm. Last edited by Die-Laughing; 08-31-2013 at 03:23 PM. |

Anyone have any 5x11x4 bearings laying around. I sure could use some. For some reason I still want to stick with bearings. Also thinking of switching Show back over to Brushed system to prevent the EXPLOSION of bearings because the bearings in Ponch looked like NEW compared to Showtime's. I know there is a difference in weight but I am also considering the WATER factor.

anyone running a droop setup? any tips or tricks? bump stops, external/internal limiters? has anyone ran these Gmade XD resivoir shocks? i have disassembled them, cleaned them, rebuilt them with axial 30WT oil twice, and as soon as i get them back together, oil seeps from every damn seam. the Gmade oil was like 15WT, it was really thin. am i the only one that cant keep oil in them? i think i am gonna clean them out again, de-oil everything, thread tape everything, and re fill with 30WT oil. |

Yeah I am used to the Losi 4" crawler shocks, I've never had issues with them. I picked up a set just to have last week. The gmade res shocks are literally dripping oil from the top and bottom of the shock body's right now. I think thread tape and cleaning might help. |

I run the losi 4" and a mostly droop setup. at ride height, I only have a little bit of up-travel to absorb bumps and whatnot. I have pen springs inside the shocks to help keep the suspension from fully dropping out right away but, with help it will articulate fully. I also use the pen springs as internal limiters because I didn't want as much articulation as it was giving me & to keep the drag link / panhard bar in check. I took my time assembling the shocks and then I cleaned & dried them off and put clear RTV around the cap.. no mayor leaks yet.. It took me a while to get this setup figured out but, I'm liking it.
