Something else to consider is there are places that will build you what you want. A company called Law Weapons and Supply by my office does custom builds. They'll even anodize the thing. They had some sweet guns over there...but they're also struggling with supply now.

R guns still has stripped lowers... they are unfinished so you have to get on a waiting list. Thats the only part you have to purchase thru an ffl. I've built a "couple" via parts kits from online and gun shows. There are some definite things you want and other things you don't need. Once the rush settles back down (June would be my guess), you will be able to build one for $600+/- depending on options. I encourage EVERYone to exercise their 2nd amendment RIGHT. Unlike social security, medicare or welfare... Gun ownership is a RIGHT of being a US citizen. |

The place I mentioned earlier yesterday, Law Weapon's and Supply, is somehow associated with R-Guns...like same ownership I think.

LATE BREAKING ALERT – NEXT VOTE ON SEMI AUTO BAN WILL TAKE PLACE SUNDAY YOUR IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED After getting nowhere in the Senate, the gun controllers have taken their campaign to destroy your rights to the Illinois House. Earlier today, Amendment #1 to SB2899 was introduced in the Illinois House of Representatives. Sponsored by rabidly anti-gun Rep. Eddie Acevedo, the amendment would do two things to you: 1. It would pick your pocket to pay for the confiscation and destruction of your own guns. 2. It would ban more than 50% of the rifles and more than 80% of handguns owned by Illinois citizens. THIS BILL WILL BE VOTED ON BY THE HOUSE JUDICIARY 1 COMMITTEE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON – YOU MUST ACT NOW! To help save your guns, please contact the following Representatives and politely tell them that you are a law-abiding firearm owner and that you do not support SB2899 and that you expect them to vote the amendment down. 1. Rep. Elaine Nekritz,. (217) 558-1004 and (847) 257-0450 2. Rep. John Bradley, (217) 782-1051 and (618 )997-9697 3. Rep. Jill Tracy, (217) 782-8096 and (217) 223-0833 4. Rep. Michael Connelly, (217) 782-8028 and (630) 579-4848 5. Rep. Dwight Kay, (217) 782-8018 and (618 ) 307-9200 6. Rep. Lou Lang, (217) 782-1252 and (847) 673-1131 7. Rep. Sid Mathias, (217) 782-1664 and (847) 222-0061 8. Rep. André M. Thapedi, (217) 782-1702 and (773) 873-4444 9. Rep. Arthur Turner, (217) 782-8116 and (773) 277-4700 10. Rep. Yeah.. I don't know if I'll be going that route. sometimes I wonder if people are just coming up with anything they can to make a buck.. after all, if shit hits the fan, the gun shops are the ones going under. why not try to make as much money as you possible can before that happens. paid in full pre-orders.. no definitive ETA.. yikes. I can see the other side of this too with the whole receipt thing but, I don't know.. I don't even know anything about that rifle they speak of. I did a quick google search and all I could come up with is stripped lowers from that company. It sounds like they are just pieceing together AR's for people with whatever budget stuff they can get their hands on. If you want to get your hands on an AR.. pre-order a lower from somewhere else, you'll have that receipt. Try to get your hands on some magazines if you can. The lowers and the mags will be the ones to go bye bye if SHTF.. you will always be able to buy all of the other AR parts. Impact is accepting pre-orders on some lowers.. http://www.impactguns.com/ar15-lowers.aspx Last edited by Die-Laughing; 01-14-2013 at 04:38 PM. |

Reading all the posts concerning firearms makes me want to get another hand gun. I let my F.O.I.D. expire so i went to Wal-Mart to get an app. I do not think they even sell firearms at the Wal-Mart by my house. I told Cindy that i wanted to go to Bass Pro Shops to buy a sling shot to protect her. Then i told her that i was going to buy a BB Gun. I dought she will know the difference. Cindy is opposed to getting a real gun. I feel that the whole world is skidding of the runway and that there are to many crazy people out there. I feel that a firearm is a necessity and not a luxury.

question on the foid card application: there is the spot to put your social security number, but the first 5 digits are x'd out. what i read online says to ssn is optional, but it says nothing about being optional on the application. http://www.isp.state.il.us/docs/6-181x.pdf personally i do not want to put my ssn down on anything that uses the mail. seems like a recipe for id theft. i dont like giving my ssn out for anything really... |

just leave it out.. I bought a few guns recently and it says on that paperwork "optional" but, I do it anyways. be sure to spell out everything, no abbreviations. if you live on 123 fake st. type the word "Street" in instead of "st." birthday 00/00/0000 etc. top 5 reasons why it could get delayed or returned... Application not signed. US Citizen question not marked. IL driver's license OR state ID number not provided. Question boxes not marked Yes or No. $10 fee not included with application. |
