Very cool! Now you should rig up a boat propeler to get a little more speed on the water! |

Hmmmmmm sounds like the end bell came loose? I've never had that happen before. I'm not sure how the end bell is fastened on these motors? Some are glued and others are held in with tabs. I send an email Holmes, he's be able to tell you a lot more about them than I can.

Got a little tranny work done. Installed the wide rage 2 speed setup so now I have a crazy 5.08:1 trans reduction in 1st gear. Second gear is what I've been running and it's 1.83:1 so I'll have almost 3 times the reduction for better pulling and crawling Just gotta finish mounting the servo and get these tires glued up and I'll be able to give this thing a good bashing. |

Have you seen any of the "Trucks Gone Wild" videos? I Believe its the second one. It has Dale Baugh's (spelling???) blue crew cab 79 ford with duals on all 4 corners driving in a lake and having a tug of war with a ski boat. It's Wicked awesome.

Yeh I've seen it, they call that that truck Papa Smurf. That's actually where the inspiration came from.

Hmmm I'm not sure how much I have into the electronics. Things were traded and other things were sold to buy certain parts. Some parts I had from other vehicles. Yeh, if you go through an add up costs I'm sure it's a number I wouldn't want my wife seeing |

Got some video together from the last week or so. I got the 2 speed hooked up in the 3905 trans and used the wide range gear set to get some nice gear reduction. It's definitely fun to use and has TONS of power. Last weak link that needs work are the axles....... Chevy Monster Truck Bashing Video Almost forgot I had these pics for a good size reference. The axle housings and the way they are designed I think is the problem. They just aren't strong enough to hold all the internals together properly.

I concur. 2200KV's or HH Puller's are best tools to surface the weakest point of the power-train. For the TXT Hulk Campbell, it was the stock axle gear |

| O I see,,, nice picture reference Siggy. Anything out there to beef it up? I wonder how much of it is the size of the truck. I wanna build a chassis setup for the 1/6 scale Newbright Hummer body I have lyin around. But when they get big there are probably new stresses I'm not familiar with. Axles choice is definetly key to a solid large scale I bet.
