got the brazing filler last night. so this thing is almost ready. need to braze on the transmission mount and drill some holes for the rear 4 link.

probably gonna need to make some shock hoops as well. i decided to make the rear 4-link because i would have had to rebuild the whole rear end of the chassis. the axle just sat way too high and the rear end was too elevated. with a 4 link i should also get a little better driveability.

going to be using gmade TS02 shocks, they look awesome, dont have a lot of travel, which should be good for this rig. ill try to get some pics tonight. i was working so much last night i just didnt get time to take any pics.

Is yer Jerp running yet? I'd like to go for a run with you before the end of the year, or the first snow hits us. Which ever comes first!

got the front bumper/stinger done. wanted a pretty subdued look to this and i think it came out well.

pics of the upper cage are coming along shortly. hope to put a coat of black paint on all the metal by tonight.

We need to get a run together soon. What's up with Kunas is he workin' on his Jeep?

I missed Bobrocks because my health is not the best right now. I wasn't up to 4 hours in a car last week...

man i;ve been busy. got the roll cage done. wish i had put a handle going along the dash bar for the passenger, oh well. there is plenty other things they can hang onto.

here is the cage work done up in some gloss black paint. simple, easy, and effective. baked it in the oven for about an hour at 225, and its all done a cured. so i had to put it together...

here she is put together. and a look at the twin force axles i have under this. they are pretty sweet, and look prefect on this scale build.

the grill and radiator had to get trimmed some. but i can put some mesh in there to cover that up at a later point. and that servo... well that's where she goes.

got the gmade ts02 shocks in here. they look great., but only have able 5/8" travel in them. but that's ok. makes for really scale articulation... also had to splay out the front shock as i did not want to start cutting into the fenders all that much.
the rear shocks are bolted directly to the body.

and just a lot more shots. and even some underneath so you can see what i did under there. nothing too fancy really. 3 link with panhard up front. standard 4 link in the back. need a part or two for the drive shafts and its good to go.

whats left? secure the grill somehow. find a place for the battery. secure the RX and ESC under the hood.

then its get a driver. find a place to mount a servo winch. and start going crazy with scale goodies.

I wouldn't worry about the servo , When you put a winch up there it will hide it. I'm not a good guy to ask about paint colors.

i'd only need the winch case to cover up the servo. i'd probably have to even trim the case a little in the back. but yeah, i am hoping to find something to cover the servo some.

Orange has already been done! It came together really good Mike. Your braze joints look nice and clean. Securing the grill- I used 2 screws on each side of the grill, just at the edge of the fenders. I can have my entire grill off in a matter of minutes.

Color is always an ass kicker for me. I do like some of the O.E. colors that the new Wranglers come in. I don't recall anyone doing a light metallic grey color. Hell, spray whatever color that makes you smile.
