Default PHM Ford F350 build

Here guys, here is a body ive been holding onto for a few years and ive just started to modify it.

before i start on the Chassis there is a whole lot im planning for the body first, here is a rough draft and im sure it will change as i learn more

-Add 2x Oled displays for a working instrument cluster

-audible low voltage alarm

-audible dummy car alarm with door and morion triggers and a tilt sensor to cancel

-working lights, full function (ie, tail, stop, turn, fog, head, interia, glovebox)
triggered from opening doors or via the TX

-working radio (simulated with mp3's) and speakers in doors

-auto lights

here is some old pictures from when i first got the body and before ditching the toy chassis

the First one is next to a 1/10 SCX10 Honcho
and the Second is next to a 1/7 ClodbusterHummer

while i wait for the other screen ive started working on the doors.

Ive removed the fake speaker and ordered some second hand 20mm 8ohm 5w speakers.... no kidding 5w, ive never seen 5w speakers that small so hopefully it should crank.
also ive ground out the sticker for the door lights so i can turn them into real lights and ive ordered 2x reed switches that will be placed inside the door and the trigger magnet on the door catch ot be used as open/closed door sensors.

due to the large scale Im hoping i should be able to fit some big SMD LED'S to the headlights. they already have some led globe holders so i might use a mix and match of LED's and SMD's

Dome light???? where is it?

Without that Orlando in the cab, I would swear that this thing was real.

hehe, nice spot on the Orlandoo

but yeah, im really impressed with the detail that's gone into the body, my hat goes off to whoever designed it.

the only scale issue ive seen is the rear quarter panels, the real ones concave towards the bottom and tuck under the bumper where on this they are more flat and blend into the bumper and the inner door handles are only 1/2 there

hopefully I should be able to get the inside looking a bit more scale. the colours are a bit wrong and when painted it should look less like plastic and ive been thinking about doing a real fabric/carpet floor, i just need to find some scale textile

cheers mate.

here we go guys slight update
Ive made up a splash screen and got a bit more done on the gauges (fuel gauge, warning lighs and needles work from the throttle channel) but the gauge needle is going a bit mantal, ill demo that when its working correctly and the fuel gauge is setup as a battery meter

Very nice work so far, Really liking those Oled displays. Do you program them yourself?

Woohoo, we have speakers....... still so much to do.

Just for the doors, ive still got to fit the open/closed sensors, and wire up: courtesy light for the inside and on the mirror there is a side marker light and a turn signal

ive been trying to work out what buttons to use for the radio, but i was worried the puch buttons would not be long enough to come through the dash, BUT....

I found these... u can buy ones with different button heights

ive got a start to the basic code for the reed switches, it just needs a few minor things worked out and then i can start mounting them in the doors
