I've started creating a modular rock gym for my Micro. The first piece was made of various packing cartons (lots of those after Christmas), white glue, duct tape, and paper mache. The finish was done with Rust-Oleum Stone textured spray paint. Future pieces will be created to butt up against the main piece, or join with each other using a common set of edges I will be placing on them. Enough already, to the pics... Main piece + a 2nd piece in progress + uRC (with BWD weights - bling bling): Close-up of rock texture: Both pieces butted up against each other in different configurations: |

updated pics, picked up 2 more pond liners, and sprayed them with textured rustoleum paint, and added another 10 pavers. I have 50# of river rock to add to fill in some of the gaps, as well as some styrofoam eggs and balls. |

heres mine so far. still a work in progress ! this little spot doesnt look it but its a pain in the butt. there actually black marks on the "rock" from the tires. this is another tuff spot. the decline would be easy but i dug a hole in the foam rite where its black and if you dont hit it just rite over ya go. this spot is rite in the middle of being easy and hard. if you dont make it off the table your truck goes. |

this is the one i just finished up a couple days ago.its 2' by 4' in size but has some overhang in areas. i used little boxes and cans to build it up. then 6 cans of foam. then primered, along with rock textured paint. and then some paint to finish it off. i originally had the two wire bridge, but it was impossible to get across due to the width of the wire different everywhere. so i turned it into a decrepit bridge with a quarter of it wire. still kinda hard to get through seeing the planks are just wide enough. the ramp that goes over the water is very hard to get up and down. half of the tires hang off the edge.it looks much better now that its painted. tons of lines to try. |

My friend offered up his front room for some micro course action! Just using expanding foam on top of ziploc containers for form. The large table is 7.5'x3' and the small is 5'x2.75'. Need to experiment what to cover it with for realism. Probably a backdrop poster of Moab scenery or a poster maybe. Lion's Back almost done! |
