Here is mine . Im doing a real looking scene .This is what I have done so far just last night . It is made of crumpled comp paper and news paper and foil. Covered in plaster cloth and then more plaster and then real concrete mortar for a real rock look and feel. I still need to paint the rockface to look real and make a water oasis and do grass, trees, bushes and of coarse trail signs.

anyone know why i cant post pics all of a sudden (i have posted many pics so i know how to do it ,seems something has changed its now a differant screen when you click insert image ? info please?
more soon as I build I will post .

Try putting them on photo bucket or something. I'm interested in your course.

im working on a course right now, doesnt really have high points, but i used half a sheet of foam cut to form and spray foam, i figured out that skinning the spray foam will give u all the traction that u need... since making this course, im already dreaming of an expansion or a whole new course all together

Ok guys here is my version of Moab. I incorperated many main attractions from there like slick rock, potatoe salade hill, bathtub, and many others. Now here is my new BNR vacuum formed scaler Jeep Lower Fourty. It is very light and nimble and its mounted on a stock micro crawler.

Been working on a course for mine. Used some thick foam board. Cut up some shapes. Broke out the glue gun. Here we go.
Base.

General layout.

Then i used a couple rolls of plasercloth.

Going to put a can of expanding foam on it. Cut to shape and add some paint and some fleckstone paint. More to come!!!

I dont have any pictures, but i do have a video of the spot i have trown together in my friends garden.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7zcXkcVuZg ( 10 minute HD warning )

The eagle-eyed ppl will notise the "river" in the background or atleast hear it, and it + the home made outcrop of fake black granite will be demolished soon and then rebuild and enlarged.

We will try to incorperate smaller slow moving "rivers" to cross - bridges - trails - different kinds of rock/dirt/sand - maybe a little waterfall - and my M8 would like to have a small loop of his G- scale train incoperated too.

I hope we can make better fake sandstone than black granite but as you all know you have to start somwhere

Projekt "nice spot" should start in a couple of weeks.

Since I'm waiting on parts to complete my scale build I decided to start working on my course. The table I'm using is 4 1/2' x 6 1/2'.

Laying out the foundation.

Added some paper.

I started laying down plaster cloth but the LHS only had 2 rolls so I didn't get very far. The s10 pictured is 1/20th scale.

My course is random chunks of concrete & rocks that I've scavenged around for. The course is set up next to my driveway- nice to walk out the back door & 'wheel.

I also do a little crawling at an abandoned public ORV park. Lots of ruts & some dirt hills to play on:
