Thanks. I didn't have anything else but stock Panther foams, so I tried full foams cut to look like a dounut. Feels about right, we'll see how they perform.

| battery placement question.
With the new menace chassis are you attaching the batt to the front links or chassis? I'm thinking about getting skinnier and 4 linking the front but battery placement with these little guys is interesting. cheers, Wade |

I've got it mounted on the links but it would be easy to mount to the chassis too. I don't have much room in there but there is easily enough.

| thanks for the info
Did you choose one link or the other to attach the battery to, or is the bat "soft" mounted to the links to let them move independently, Im assuming your rig is 4 linked in the front. I think link mounted batteries is a good idea to keep the battery as unsprung weight, but connecting the batt to the links without restricing movement is my conundrum. Am I thinking way to much about this? cheers, Wade |

I'm 4 linked front and rear. I use a piece of lexan attached with zip ties then attach velco to that plate. It works really easily and if you don't tighten the zip ties to much it doesn't restrict anything. It moves so little that it doesn't seem to matter anyway.

I hope this pic helps with seeing how I mounted the battery. Also the new Losi Aluminum Mini T rear shocks I just mounted up. They are night and day better than the Integy shocks I was running. The only problem is they only come in packs with the fronts and I had to buy those too It was worth it though. |

I haven't done much different lately, but I got a new pack for it yesterday and I love it! Its a new pack that Thunder Power is coming out with. 910mah, 20c Cont. Discharge, 30c Max. It woke up my mini crawler like a smack in the face I was worried it wasn't going to fit but luckily it did. The only thing I'm working on is a second set of wheels and different tires. I need to figure out a lower profile setup. The courses around here usually favor a really low rig that can sidehill and while this rig really impresses me how well it does sidehill, a smaller tire would help. Oh yeah, and did I mension the Losi Mini T rear shocks are a HUGE improvement over the Integy shocks? Yeah wel just in case.... |

I will keep my eye out for that pack! I found some 16C ones, but no 20C yet. I need new shocks on mine too. Those stockers are a bit floppy. |

You should see some of the other stuff they have coming out, 30c with a 1350 pack. I can't wait. I picked up a set of the replacement aluminum Losi shocks to put on my mini tuber. They are a great improvement.

Is the 1350 the 105mm long size though? They seem to have departed from the origional 1320 shape on every new cell of larger capacity or burst rate.

The new 1350 is 18x31x92 Not short but on my builds that doesn't bother me at all. In fact I usually find it easier to fit a long, skinny one that a short fat one. Last edited by Just Zach; 12-10-2008 at 08:06 AM.

As far as wideners, I'm at 7.5" right now, I don't want to go any wider. I really like my tires for bouldering but I think another set is in order anyway, I like to have options.

Looks good man. What compound are those hammers? I just finished making me some out of some old M3 compound.
