How does the 18 gauge wire seem to be working out? I Just ordered some 18 gauge for mine and was a little nervous about it.

That's how i was thinking!
Some guys run 20g wire and micro deans for battery plugs on their 2.2 pro rigs.

I'm not an expert when it comes to electronics, but if you plan on wrapping the power and motor leads around the truck a couple of times you might end up with to much resitance, but i think my motorleads are about 2-2.5" so the resistance in them should not be a problem!

As you can see i got the losi insane motor!

Found a parts explosion on losi's web page, but this might be one of the most useless explosions ever.
Atleast on my phone the complete explosion was tilted 90 degreese making it easy to read...
And all the screws were labeled "losb1419" wich is the complete screw set!
BWD has a great fix for this

Let me know how that fly sky works for you. I picked one up new, worked great, except when in reverse. It was real "gittery", not smooth at all. Played with all the settings. Couldn't get it to act correct, got rid of it to a friend. Now I run a DX2e, cheap, but works great.

I think the flysky give alot of bang for the buck! I use it for my 2.2pro rig!
I have it hacked and lipo converted!

Using losi mini pinions also worked great, also ordered the xtreme motor and that one is delivered with a spacer!

Is BWD still active?

Looks good blib. Do you have any clue as to what your track width will be.

Well as you can see in the pic above knuckel to knuckel is 158mm say 160 to be on the safe side! Ad another 5mm to each side for hexes and your at 170mm hex to hex this will allow for atleast 15mm on each side to play with different offset wheels!

My dear friend Dravpnir warned me about haveing to wide axel cause it make live much harder when it comes to wheel option.

I could just shorten the wraith tubes if i feel i end up to wide!

Currently the outside of the wraith linkmount is just 2mm narrower than the stock linkmount. Shortening the wraith tubes will make the linkmounts to narrow. Of course it's just to add a spacer between the ball and the linkmount!

Any thoughts or questions are welcome!

Very cool.

Did you use two long side tubes like Chris's build (5.11 the CRUX)?

Or, were you able to get both tubes out of one AR60 housing?

Made it with 2axels!
Got 2 brand new wraith axels complete with C-hubs, knuckles, lockouts, linkmounts and pumpking lids for only 25$

Still batteling shortening the tubes a bit to allow a wider range of wheel choises!

I really want to use G10 wheels but i fear they might stop me from using knuckle wheights,

Also trying to figure out if i should use wheel wheights or knuckle wheights, maybe 50/50.
Some wheight in the wheel should really help roll over but i don't trust the weak driveline to run all wheel wheights!

Maybe i can use a G10 faceplate glued to a plastic touringwheel?

You got me wondering about my mini project and weights/space.

So I bolted my current 1.9 wheel on my 2.2s rig.

It's a bit scratched up, but you can see it fits fine.

It's an Axial 8 hole that I cut the center out of, narrowed, and made my own lexan face.

That's with RCBros half weights, 2 x 1/4" (.7oz each) and 1 x 1/8" (.4oz) and a .725 SLW hub.

That would get you 1.8oz with room to run twice that if you used the full circle weights.

Hope that helps.

I've built this axle and if blib can run anything more than a .225 hub I need to know how.

If my math is correct i dont see any way a bigger hub would be possible!

But i do feel that shortening the tubes is the way to go!

Chris, how wide is your axel between the splines, c-hub to c-hub?

Perhaps you can shorten the axel tubes between the splines and the link mount? Like I did for my AR60 Jr axles?

The axle tubes have a lot of material, so it should be possible to cut the tube, shorten it, then drill 2 mm diameter holes along the axle tube and reinforce the glue joint with 2 mm CF rods.

Well that's really lame then.

Having hub options is nice for messing with track width, or fitting wider/skinnier tires after the rig is built.

Not to mention the fitment of knuckle weights. Not a fan of weighted wheels.

Dumb question perhaps, would using the short side of the AR60 housing shorten the finished product?
