No it wasn’t. They should be directly opposite. If you make a step on one side, you should consider same step on another

It calls out the proper hole(s) per pinion gear tooth number right on the motor plate. I'm not sure where you guys are having the disconnect?

I've done the Vanquish Currie Rear Axle upgrade, and the SSD front bulkhead. (I also use a good, waterproof grease fairly liberally in these areas) Ran on 3s entirely for the last part of the season, and ZERO issues. These are definitely must haves if you're going to run 3s the majority of the time. As far as the above, I've read back through and I think I see what you guys are getting at. The washer/spacer hack goes between the motor plate on the underside of the chassis and the plastic of the rear bulkhead where the rear screws to attach the motor plate go. As far as clocking the motor on the motor plate, if I understand correctly you want to go to a smaller pinion? This is going to involve some trial and error on the mounting holes and possibly using the above mentioned washer/spacer "hack". Although this actually backs the pinion off the spur slightly, so I would only do it if you're close on your clocking with the motor and motor plate, but just a bit too tight. A trick I learned way back when I was racing from another old racer was to use a small strip of paper between the pinion and the spur as you set the tension. Just standard thickness sheet of notebook paper or printer paper. The thickness of the paper between the pinion and the spur as you set the lash/tension ends up creating about the perfect amount of lash or spacing. Don't hesitate to crunch the paper between the gears. It's not going to let you get it set to tight due to the thickness of the paper between them. Once you've got everything snugged down, just spin the spur or pinion with your finger to feed the strip of paper out and you're good to go.

The motor that I fitted is quite a bit larger in width hence the grinding out the chassis plate to get it to fit so I assumed this would throw the motor mount tooth count out the window
Needless to say I got there eventually and also using the paper trick too Iv got a 16T to try out next so more guess work coming shortly lol

What CST oil to use in front diff, center diff?

Do i need any in the rear diff?

I'm confused since there's many different viscosities.

I’m pretty sure the rear diff is yours is locked ( no spider gears inside diff) therefore no need for grease .
The centre and front both have spider gears .
A good place to start is 500k-1million for centre and 250-500k

Is that a question or statement?

I’d be interested to know as well if that was a question.

I’d be interested to see what they’re coming up with if that is a statement.

Thanks

Anyone else see the new 1/7 scale Traxxas Trophy Truck yet? Pics all over Instagram from the German toy fair show. The rig looks absolutely sick! I hate to say it, but I give it the nod for SCALE looks over the new Super Baja Rey. Chatter says msrp will be right about the same as the SBR at between $750-800 for the RTR truck.

Is it the one with the rigid industries body, that’s the only only one I can find.

Yep - looks to be two liveries offered. The Rigid sponsor look and then a FOX sponsor look. The scale look is just sick! Went to my LHS today to get some info. He has two coming when they're released. One of each.

[QUOTE=BAJAREY2017;5795500]When are they coming out

He thought in March or April, but he said Traxxas has been very tight lipped on it. All I know is that when I go to check them out, I have a very strong feeling I'm going to be walking out with a much lighter wallet!

That said, I do like the Super Baja Rey too. But, Traxxas just killed it on the scale factor. I'm going to be very interested to see the shoot out between the two that is inevitably coming. Both trucks are going to be very similar in size. I did read on the 'Grams that Traxxas spent a ton of development time on the shocks and suspension.

If only I had more space and more money - F it and just by both!

The video just showcases the real TT they based it on. Keep scrolling through the forms and eventually there are photos.
