I ran the truck box stock to test it, that includes foams and shock oil. The tires have gotten better, and I am going to run them a bit more to see if I can get some life out of them. They are a nice looking tire so I dont want to scrap them...but, out of the box they dont perform anywhere near as good as any tires I have run.

I did change the oil weight to 30w front oil 25w rear recently, and it seems to be a bit more stable...the 10w included in the kit is like water, but against my better judgment I ran it just to see how it would work. I want to play with oil and spring rates a little more still...MST offers an aluminum threaded shock upgrade, and they are much nicer than the stock shocks. I think it will be the first upgrade I try

HI Matt, glad to see you and A-Main here on RCC and now stocking/selling the cool MST line of trucks!

Soaking tires in a strong Simple Green and how water mix for a day or two can really help the grip too. Great trailing pics and the Bronco body looks sweet on there too, more pics please!

Mine are soaking now in the simple green mix. It does soften them up quite a bit.

Thanks Natedog!

Appreciate the sauce tip! I am a long time racer and have done tons of tire doping over the years...SG is a good 'safe' sauce. I really need to keep running the stock tires and see how they do without mods for the data.

Bronco is the JConcepts version - 275mm so it fit the wheelbase. But after I mounted it up, I had to use the spacers in the kit and some longer 3x30mm set screws to stretch the rear links a bit. I want to pull the front in a little too, but that takes a little more effort and I havent gotten around to it yet. LOL

Since you asked, here are a couple more from the same outing...

Whereabouts in Chico is the spot you took the pics at, I'm in Paradise and always looking for new spots.

Pics were taken in Oroville, at the nature center across the river from the fish hatchery.

After they sent all that water downstream due to the dam crisis, it cleaned out a lot of brush along the river edge and opened up a bunch of new line options.

Paradise has some fun stuff off of Coutelinc Rd....I love that spot.

Yeah, Coutelinc is a good spot, my favorite is the north side of the hatchery.
I thought that looked like the hatchery but wasn't sure.
I wish I could get to the freshly exposed rock from the spillway failure.

Yeah, everyone is waiting to get in there...if they would stop working on it and let us go play it would be pretty awesome!

Good news and bad news from today's creek race at Bottoms Up RC. The MST was killing it up until my servo horn stripped out. Lesson learned, don't trust plastic servo horns, lol.

Awesome thread. This chassis with the shorter wheelbase and portals is screaming for a Mog body. Has anyone test fit a Tamiya Mog body to see if it would work?

I haven't seen the Tamiya Mog but a friend did the mighty FC and it is a perfect fit.

FC looks great on the MST, Tamiya Unimog is much shorter.

I will most likely be putting these axles under my mog. It's a Tamiya cab on an SCX10 chassis and custom bar work.

Has anyone tried to do a cms setup on this yet?

Edit: Saw Jkilburns cms looking for a standup servo mounted one if possible.

Yep. Waiting on final parts from my mock up. Exclusive R/C is working on refining it.

I will be attempting a cms on mine. Axles will be used on my mog pictured above. Chassis will be my C1 truck with Yotas and leaf springs.

I'm happy with it.
Tyres seem ok. What did you do foam wise? Obviously not stock foams.
