So nice to see this build again! We love the long term builds! You missed the mark on the "wash me" though. One of the funniest things I've ever seen was the rear window of an SUV in the wintertime that had "I wish my wife was this dirty!" Classic!

Yes, Good to see you back on this one Kurt. After seeing it move over the rocks & that beautiful suspension work articulate... I'm excited to see some progress.... I need to email you with some dates, hope to get together again this summer. That dust looks sort of realistic... might take a Q-tip & finger "wash me" on the side and just hit it with flat clear. |

Finally decided to painted the wheels, and added some camouflage. Old T-shirt for the cloth top and started the windshield: Last edited by sellenk; 03-14-2015 at 01:51 PM. |

Wow, that's some really nice work Kurt. Done? They're never done. I love the tires in the gravel shot. Have you ever been to the tank museum in Danville? We went last fall & coordinated the trip to coincide with one of their "battle days", 1/16 scale WWII, 6000 sq. ft. indoor RC tank battlefield. Pretty cool. If you haven't been, it's worth the trip & more military reference vehicles than you'll ever find in one spot. Plus, it's private & the owner seemed like the kind of guy who would let you crawl all over a vehicle if you were modeling one of them. I took pictures of everything & I'm not real up on all my military vehicles, and they were all marked as to what they were but at the time, I was paying more attention to some of the tanks we had modeled & he's got a German Panzer VI... sort of the holy grail of his collection but this one looked closest to yours. : Last edited by DRW-FJ40; 03-16-2015 at 07:51 AM. |

But the guys at the RC battle seemed pretty laid back & I would think they would enjoy seeing your truck driving around in the battle ground. Yea, I was going to email them to you so as not to clutter up your thread but... since you asked... Largest indoor RC tank battlefield in the world. Modeled after WWII German occupied France, 1944. German Panzer IV: And since I'm high-jacking your thread... why stop now? Met this guy Bob at the tank battle and he makes these custom 1:16 RC halftracks (see video below). I think he starts with a 1/16 static ABS kit & adds drivetrain, RC electronics & mechanical pieces, probably modified tracks from an RC tank and then either a modified Tamiya MF unit from the tanks or maybe something custom. But they were pretty cool and I thought... Kurt needs to make a metal 1:10 halftrack... come on, your know you want to.... think how much fun it would be fabricating metal tracks from scratch. 1/16 RC halftrack video Last edited by DRW-FJ40; 03-17-2015 at 09:01 AM. | |

3 years of awesome work. The detail is amazing. Do you have any further plans for this build. Tractors are made to pull trailers. With the detail of your work we could watch some good stuff for another two years.
