All the ideas for next year are fine, what I need to know is the location for state so I am in 7th place, but I need to know when to leave El Paso, do I open the hobby shop on saturday or not (waiting on final comp date) and were do we need to go.

How about also going through the whole comp series with the same rig.

Most of the Farmington guys have changed rigs, and I am still debating with myself on using my trusty old axial, or my fancy new store bought Losi rig. I think staying with one good rig through a whole series is a good thing, and is to the drivers advantage, but I don't think it should be required. Where woudl you draw the line? I changed my chassis mid season, but my axles and tranny were the same.

Hell, I'm pretty sure I left some of my bolts out on the rocks at the comp sites.

Update : These are for sure.
The event will be Saturday @ the Dragstrip , it will be a Free Crawl format. We will be giving away a bunch of cool Stuff.

James was pouring down some concrete and expects more , and as soon as James see the truck dumping the rocks out on the ground he will call me so I can post it up.

If by the end of the day there is going to be enough terrain for courses , we will have the Finals as planned , with the exception of the Free Crawl Format , it will just make it go alot faster.
I will post more as I become aware of it.

And if by chance that elusive load of rock does not show, what is the plan?

We still need to do the final comp. no matter where it is. We all deserve the chance to fight for the top two spots we all worked hard all season for. Not really into the alternative. Not really fair to all of the other competitors.

If the load of rock dosent show , then Mabey we'll give a spot to you and a spot to Rob. We'll see how much cement James pours today and how much terrain there is at the end of the day.

There is definitly going to be something going on at the Dragstrip on Saturday , B there .

I made by the site at the dragway today unannounced to James today. Got to speak with him as well as the people who run the track. Things look like they are going to shape up for a great comp for us! So it looks like all the original plans stay.

I am definately all for sticking to the original plan if that is a possibility- have state and top 2 get the bids for nationals. It now sounds like state will be able to carry on as planned, and that is fine. It doesnt change the fact that I'm no longer interested in going this weekend. A "final" decision came too little too late for me. We had already made plans with relatives for our kids for the weekend and then canceled them, so Im not about to call them up to change the plan again. Hope everyone has fun this weekend, whatever ends up going on.
